Perhaps, but I am uncomfortable with the parade of Trump family members having so much power over a future administration.   Several are not even Republican.  They have not been vetted.  They just come along with the package, I guess.

Also, call me a prude, but I don't really want a first lady who has posed for pornographic pictures.  It is creepy to think she will go around the world meeting leaders and that they might have those pictures of her under their mattresses.  Just sayin'.  These sorts of things used to matter to most people.   I'm not saying she broke any laws.  I just would prefer a more dignified front.  Oh she is pretty and graceful.  I can't see her as classy.  Just can't.  She was a piece of meat Trump purchased when he needed to upgrade his wife to a younger model.

It's not the nudity that bothers me.  It's the fact that his family couldn't even vote for him in NY because they hadn't (or wouldn't) change their registration from Democrat.  That should send red flags in all directions.  Guess not.

I don't see recovery on the horizon.  The GOP has died and along with it so has our Republic.

The truth is that our republic died a long time ago. The remnant is now dead as well and it makes it hard for me to even look at my family tree anymore!

Trump is allowing his family of democrats to have power over republican issues that they didn't earn. Things like being involved in abducting Pence for the VP spot.

When I read that free trade was supported by more Democrats than Republicans, I knew that today's GOP was no longer conservative, but more socialist than those Democrats.

Prayers indeed. They do work. We did a lot lately.

My dad just faced the big surgery where they shut him down and took his heart out of his chest to work on it and put it back in. That was one long scary day for all of us. He looked bad afterward but when I returned yesterday they had him sitting in a chair being agitated. They hope to have him walking by wednesday or thursday.

Cripplecreek, I'll say some prayers for your dad.  I hope he recovers fast and fully.  I know where you're at...my mother-in-law will be undergoing open heart surgery tomorrow in NYC.

She couldn't give one warm, funny, interesting personal story about Donald J. Trump (does he insist his wives refer to him that way like he makes his employees call him Mr. Trump?). 

I don't think Melania is going to make Trump more relatable to the poor schlub family in Muleshoe, Texas.

Flynn's speech is coming off as awkward. He's pausing for applause lines that are weak. He had to repeat "Donald Trump is that leader" to get the kind of response he wanted (I heard audible boos both times).

That, and his open statement that he plans to crush domestic enemies should be a major red flag.

This is one of the weakest RNC speech lineups I can remember.

For me it's both. 

Again, I'm not saying she broke any laws.  I just think it is undignified.  I remember back when the feminists used to gripe about porn because it made women into objects.  I guess no one cares anymore.  I guarantee you this:  We may have dulled out collective conscience in this country, but there are other countries a First Family visits that will have a big problem with it.  In some cases, I wonder if she will even be safe.

I understand what you mean.  Jackie O was a classy lady.  So was Nancy Reagan and Laura Bush.  But much like in the movie Idiocracy....class has taken on a whole new meaning in the Obamanation.  The emphasis is on the last three letters now....and crass is king.

Well, if it's any consolation.... I seriously don't think Melania will get anywhere near the WH unless it's to rent out the Lincoln Bedroom (old Clinton habits die hard...pardon pun).

They removed a fatty mass from the septum between the right and left ventricle, destroyed the misfiring nerves that were causing an A-fib and removed a mesh that was just making a good place for clots to form.

Yep. No question about it.  She is rock steady.  Firm but fare in her governance.  She has keen sense of loyalty to those in her inner circle who helped her when she, and that other person started this place..  Sometime that loyalty keeps her from kicking a few people to the curb.

I have to admit I liked her speech.  It was a direct contrast with her husband who while talking about ISIS said he would destroy them bigly.  You can tell who sounds intelligent and who doesn't.

And Rudy was on it about terrorism.
