It will be hard for them to miss the gains the Tea party gave them compared to the losses that are coming but I never underestimate the ability of the GOP to do the wrong thing.

But you know, they never ever gave credit to us Tea Party people who worked to take control of both the House and Senate (a lot of good it did!).  We were the grassroots of the Republican party......... at least back when we thought it might do some good.

I doubt they'll find enough Democrat cross dressers to take our places when it comes to the nitty gritty work of winning elections.

That's why sinkspur was giving this thread to allow unfettered hatred to spew and no real discussion of the convention speakers or events.... So have fun spewing here and let adults discussion the convention.

Since when are Americans supposed to refrain from criticism or even mocking of presidents?  We elect citizens to serve us; we don't crown damned kings.

On this forum, we are not allowed on the "official" convention thread (no freedom of speech allowed there)- so one of our own had to start a thread.  If you go to "The Conservative Circle", of which I am also a member, freedom of speech is allowed on ALL threads.  A breath of fresh air, post what you want.  Most of those people are ex-FR's, too. 

Not all forums fit everyone.  Sometimes, the hems on the skirts are too long or short, or the pants don't fit, or the shirt sleeves are too short or too long.  Sometimes there are gags required in the mouth or eyes must be covered, and some require one to walk over hot coals.  All forums are not alike.

Perhaps, but I am uncomfortable with the parade of Trump family members having so much power over a future administration.   Several are not even Republican.  They have not been vetted.  They just come along with the package, I guess.

I share your grief, libertybele.  Right now, I feel absolutely no hope that the Republican party survives....... and you're right to wonder about the state parties too.  With corrupt, filthy Trump as titular "head of the party" the state parties may crumble as well.

We don't know how deep the evil will go, nor how there can be recovery after this nightmare.

I'm just glad there are others who can understand what we're going through.  Somehow it helps that we are not alone in our mourning.

I don't see recovery on the horizon.  The GOP has died and along with it so has our Republic.
