Breaks my heart to see so many dead-enders here on a forum I thought of as home. Appears a whole lot of forum swapping happens in presidential primary years.

At first it was an interesting political campaign, but now #nevertrump is really just #welcomehillary. A political hashtag temper tantrum that I can't/won't abide.

Just my humble opinion, but be careful how you deal with your perceived loss and from whom you accept comfort in your moment of grief. You'll need sound reasoning, not emotion, come November.

What fascinates me is how many alleged conservative  adults claim there is no difference between Trump and Hillary. But when asked to explain how they are the same in regards to the 2nd Amendment, the military, border security, foreign policy, foreign aide, Benghazi, ISIS, global warming, the DOE and EPA, there is silence.

Amazing thing to read from a guy who supports the man who rode a wave of anger to the top of the GOP ticket.

Why aren't you angry? That's the real question.

It's funny considering how much grief they gave Michelle O. for her hash tag campaigns.

What's not too funny is they don't realize they are being used by the same people they detest ....the GOPe

The orange guy wants to ban so called assault rifles.  He praised Obama's histrionics on gun control following Sandy Hook killings.
His ideas for governing are no different than Bernie's.  He wants the gummint to take care of everyone. Everything will be beaultiful, we'll all be so happy.
He has said more crackpot things than any other candidate of either party in my lifetime.
No knowing what he will do next, now that he has determined that the pen and phone are all he needs.

We don't know how Trump is on anything because he hasn't governed a single day in his life.

We know what he's said, and we know what he's flip flopped on. We also know, in his own words, that he will say anything he needs to say in order to win.

He was in favor of gun control measures before he was against them.

There's a world of difference between saying and doing.

Reason I asked is the GOP hasn't done anything to slow the Leftist agenda and not much anger coming from the electorate to show we care.

WHY?

I would prefer the status quo to Bernie. The man has shit for brains and so do his supporters. Period.

Granted, but that doesn't mean he isn't as smart as either Trump or Bubbette!,and both of them parrot the socialist line but don't mean it.

I'd love to see him defeat Bubbette! for the Dim nomination.

Just think, that would mean BOTH branches of the ruling party got their assed handed to them in the same election cycle, and both of their party favorites got beaten by outsiders.

Hell,I may vote for Bernie myself if he beats Bubbette! and is running against Trump. Bernie is just a well-meaning fool, but Trump is evil to the bone.

There's a world of difference between saying and doing.

We know exactly what Hillary will do. The GOP has come to the realization that Trump is the nominee and that they had better work together for the sake of the country. If Hillary wins, bend over, grab your ankles and kiss your a$$ goodbye.

You raise some valid points if there was a difference between Clinton and Trump but I don't perceive any difference, they are both NY liberals. If anything, in my view Clinton is probably more Conservative than the Orange one, she's certainly got bigger hands.

As to the 2nd, I don't care I lost my weapons years ago in an unfortunate boating accident , but seriously nothing will change unless the SC changes and I simply don't believe Trump's nominees will be any better that Clinton's. Trump sat out Vietnam as so many little rich boys in our generation did, I volunteered and I'm sorry, he didn't care about the military then and I don't believe he cares now. Foreign policy give me a break he's clueless. ISIS he probably thinks thats a name for a real hot babe he'd like to date... got my drift?  I don't believe anything that Trump says and I think his supporters are foolish for believing him but this America and everyone has a right to be a sucker and be played for a fool.

Maybe you'd be able to explain to all of us how Trump and Hillary are the same on the 2nd Amendment, the military, secure borders, the DOE, EPA, Benghazi and foreign policy?

As much as Trump flip flops, he will have 20 positions on each of those by next week.  Both Hitlerly and Trump are liberals.  I prefer none of the above.

No, I will not.  Probably vote Gary Johnson just to prove that it was an intentional snub of both.  I live in a severely blue state, so it doesn't matter anyway, it goes to Hillary.

I live in PA and after the conventions, I will be closely watching the polling here but most likely PA will go to Clinton so like you, my vote probably won’t matter.

I will also be watching how far Trump flip flops or changes his primary positions (more than he’s already done in just the last few days), how far left he will shift to get the Sander’s vote….etc.

If it ends up being a very close call here in PA and in order to deny Hillary the EC votes for PA, I may hold my nose very, very, very hard, to the point of requiring reconstructive surgery afterward and vote for Trump, hoping for the best, that he wouldn’t be the total disaster I think he will be, but at this point I’ll probably vote Libertarian as I did in ’96.

I watched both Libertarian debates on Stossel and I actually liked Austin Peterson better than Gary Johnson who I thought was very week on some personal liberty and private property issues (i.e. supported forcing people to provide services against their conscience or religious beliefs, i.e. the bakers) who and is “agnostic” to pro-choice on abortion whereas Peterson is pro-life, but I presume Johnson will be the Libertarian candidate.

But if we are going to go bat guano crazy anyway – why not John McAfee?

And truth be told, it is sort of a sad state of affairs when I have to question if McAfee doesn’t come off sounding a bit less crazy and a tad more rational than Trump. At least McAfee is consistent in his views and owns up to his past mistakes.  :silly:

http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/trump-concealed-carry-permit/2015/10/03/id/694581/

"This is about self-defense, plain and simple," he said.

His plan includes defending the rights of law-abiding gun owners, as well as strengthening the national FBI's background checks system and increasing mental-health services.

Trump also wants to allow military personnel to carry guns on bases.

"It's not the guns, it’s these sick people," he said, later adding: "They have background checks already in place. That was done in 1998, but people slip through — and our government is not doing a good job."

He also called for a "National Right to Carry," in which a concealed carry permit issued in one state would apply throughout the country.
"I'm a very big Second Amendment person," Trump said to cheers from the audience. "It's very, very important to me."

WHY?

Because the electorate has moved left. Ergo Bernie Sanders.

Conservatism is a somewhat unnatural position to hold since societies naturally tend to become more permissive rather than less permissive if allowed to evolve freely.

Really... I've refrained from responding to your comment's for the same reason that for the most part, I would not respond to those on FR who are emotionally vested in their Orange candidate. I get that you are 100% behind Trump, he says what you want to hear. In every political post I've seen since I have been here you you eventually show up and carpet bomb with your defense of Trump, while claiming those not supporting your view and your candidate refuse to respond with your self defined version of "substance".

I don't presume to tell you or anyone else where to post...but I would observe that emotional responses work at TOS, but from I've enjoyed about this site so far..not so much.

The only people being emotional are those hurling the insults and doing the juvenile name-calling. Have you seen me call Cruz stupid, insulting names? Have I referred to his supporters as being idiots, cultists, morons or worse? Tell me, do you honestly believe referring to a Presidential candidate in your own party as the orange candidate or orange baboon is substantial? When I was banned from FR years ago I thought I left that kind of nonsense.

The avaliable ignore feature here works quite well.
