Romney became at least the third high-profile Republican to have his religion questioned by Trump. Both Cruz, who is Southern Baptist, and former 2016 candidate Ben Carson, who is Seventh-Day Adventist, have had to reaffirm the particulars of their faith after being questioned by Trump.

How can one support a candidate who says and does things that they would immediately condemn from any other candidate. And they are not hear-say but recorded statements. Trump will be washed away if not now then in November as he rightly deserves to be. There is no one worse than Trump in the garbage that he utters. Not only the garbage, but his total lack of preparedness on issues, I remember Gov Perry being shot down as front runner after bumbling a debate question. Trump is non-stop bumbling when questioned on specifics. He knows no details and responds like a junior high student.

Oh, and never get into a substantive policy discussion. Notice, Trump is hiding now. No more debates. His national poll numbers go down after every debate because he gets banged around by Ted Cruz, so he's not going to risk having Cruz stomp on him any longer.

Ronald Reagan had eight years as governor of the largest state in the union and had spent 20 years developing a substantive conservative political philosophy.

What's Trump been doing? Banging married women, bankrupting companies, and coming up with gems like "I first of all consult myself (on foreign policy). I have a good brain, and I've said many things."

Reagan never had the level of unfavorability that Trump has; not even close. And, once he was nominated, the party united behind him.

You won't see that kind of unity behind Trump because decisions have already been made.
