That is a ridiculous and unfair slander against this site.

Sinkspur was asked to leave for reasons that had nothing to do with his opinion on anything. His behavior against the members, mods, and owners, of this site simply became intolerable. He was warned countless times on civility. He ignored these warnings and if anything his behavior got worse.

He was aggressive, rude, insulting, and often vulgar. That is the only reason he is no longer here. Not because of any opinion he held about anything. That was not even a consideration.

Absolutely  right!    :amen:

I'm seeing a pattern where Trump supporters repeatedly seek to expel members of this community for speaking out against Trump.

Well, you need to find your glasses--and quickly, because you're not seeing anything clearly.

It's not an opinion that is being questioned.  Everyone's entitled to at least one of those.  The level of disrespect and trash posting used to express an opinion is what's being questioned.  No one is entitled to stoop to those levels.

I'm on the opposite side of the debate, and I completely agree with you.

I hope it settles, because I don't like the trend.......

The trend you speak of has only worsened since I took my leave of this place a few months ago. I hate seeing this place lose its identity. The conversation here now sounds strangely similar to FR, Facebook, the Blaze, and any other place were people come to bump heads over politics

Again, you misunderstand.  Not hostile----Disgusted and repulsed.

Again, you misrepresent:  Not "truth"---- Trash talk

I wish you would take this somewhere else.

Truth? You can't handle the truth.

We have every indication that Trump will win Iowa. Consistent, strong polls, tremendous media attention. I bet you the average republican voter couldn't name one other Republican candidate, except for maybe Ted Cruz.

So what are the indicators Trump will lose Iowa? There are none.

Or, are you, too, just registering frustration with your fellow Republicans' audacity (stupidity?) for supporting Donald J Trump for president?

So what if he does win in Iowa? Aren't 40+ percent of the voters there claiming to be socialists?

AFATG,so what if he wins the nomination and even the presidency? That still won't make him the right man for the job. Others who have won the presidency have names like Carter,Bush,Bush, and Clinton, and some of the self-identified Republicans have had names like McLunatic and Romney.

BTW,I no longer consider myself to be a Republican and would thank you to not call me one.  The Republicans of today are to the left of the Dims in the 1950's and early 60's.

LOL!  Yeah...that's it.  I'm a suppressed liberal all along.

Well, you are supporting a trust fund punk that is a life-long denizen of NYC,a draft-dodger,good friend of the Clintons,Bloomberg, and ego-maniac with the most outlandish sense of entitlement ever seen.

Don't blame me,I had nothing to do with any of that.

Figured it was time for payback, Sanguine.   I only have some many cheeks to turn, darling.

Thanks for listing some of the many insulting names they drum up to describe those of us who support his run.

I can't blame you for that. I'd be insulted too,if someone accused me of being a Trump supporter.

One other thought.

Donald Trump smartly secured three important endorsements for Iowa voters.

Phyllis Schlafly, Sarah Palin, and Jerry Falwell, Jr.

They love Sarah Palin in Iowa.

Trump is not likely to lose Iowa.

Schlafly is good, but Palin and Falwell Jr are jokes.

As for people in Iowa loving Palin, over 40 percent of Iowa voters identify themselves a socialists, and the ones who vote Republican are big supporters of the government welfare program for rich farmers because they are getting richer from it.

You must be soooo proud of supporting the pro-abortion gas bag from NYC that believes in Imminent Domain and gun control that hangs with the Clintons.

Sinkspur was the last... for saying exactly the same things being said now.

It's only a matter of time before the Viking Kitties show up,and they can relive their glory days on FR.

The style of conversation going on now is pretty much the reason that the majority of us LEFT TOS.  The reason I came here, and decided to make my 'home' here is that it was so very, very different.

I pray that this is a temporary condition because if it isn't, the participation of intellectually stimulating, rational voices will diminish and we will lose the character that drew most of us here.
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

"Sometimes I think the Church would be better off if we would call a moratorium on activity for about six weeks and just wait on God to see what He is waiting to do for us. That's what they did before Pentecost."   - A. W. Tozer

Use the time God is giving us to seek His will and feel His presence.

Have you noticed that Luis Gonzalez is gone?  Oceander, too.

(I read the posts here for over a year before I decided to create an account, in case anyone wonders why I'd even know of Luis.  I quite liked his writing and really wish I could find out if he's still active somewhere.)

Despite our stark differences on Donald Trump, and his penchant for going right for the jaw.  I've always considered Sinkspur a brother and a member of our 'Family'.

And, I've argued on his behalf many times over the years.

And, hope he's allowed to return.  Think...it's no sweat to anybody.

If he hasn't learned, the powers can easily take care of it again.

But, let's face it...who isn't interested on what his take is on things today??

People leave for different reasons.  "Oceander" is never 'gone'.

Luis got frustrated in not being able to change anybody's mind.  I miss him dearly.

MACVSOG68 (Mike) is also sorely missed.

It's why we welcome active new member posters in engage from day 1.

What I'm seeing however, are a few recent zotted people who've gotten the impression here that it's Open Season on Donald Trump..."heaven" compared to JR's House.

They don't act like a 'new' guest, but rather 'Ralph' in Lord of the Flies.     Like Nelse McLeod in El Dorado.

It's certainly not becoming or endearing.  And they're only hurting themselves.

Prayers up for him.
