Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), a member of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, on Sunday defended the panel's investigation, following a contentious hearing with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

"Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace questioned Jordan on what new information was learned from the marathon testimony the Democratic presidential front-runner gave on Thursday.

“I think it is new to tell the American people that she said something completely different in private,” he said. “She was telling the truth in private, she was telling spin to the American people.”

After the 2012 terrorist attack that killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya, Clinton said the attack was in response to a film, but her emails later showed that she had told her daughter Chelsea that the attack was planned.

Jordan said Clinton and her team have refused to allow a neutral third party to examine any deleted emails that are found by the FBI.

“So we have her doing all this spin the night of the attack and now when it comes to her emails she gets to determine which ones are work related and which ones aren’t  and she won’t let some neutral party review them,” he said. “It calls into question her evaluation of those emails. That’s why it’s relevant.”

Relevant? Yes the information presented at the hearings is relevant and it is important in that it shows us clearly what we already knew: Hillary is an entitled Queen that will lie baldly whenever she sees an advantage in it. And she cares not one whit about the lives of the mere minions around her - even if that minion is an ambassador.  OK.

Here's the problem: Congress is merely ornamental, they will do nothing and Hillary will get her victory laps as the victim of mean white men who just talk.  Her accusation that they were just badgering her will be made true.  And as sick and sad as it is to say it - the American people don't care one iota what happened to those other Americans that day. They care more about NFL Sunday.

The good representative is correct - but Congress can do nothing except badger, they are neutered and irrelevant today.  This is what a Republic and nation in deep, steep decline looks like.
