No I think Steyn probably thinks Trump is a little incoherent but I don't want to speak for him.

So, who were you referring to, oh enigmatic one?

Drudge is reporting that the Wiki entry alleging the affair came from a Homeland Security IP address.

He should have apologized and withdrawn the day after he blundered so badly on Benghazi.

Agree!

My guess is that it was aligncare....... just to needle.

That's me too!  We have a couple who play the passive/aggressive game and they anger me more than those who just come out and say things, even rude things.

At least you know what the heck they're talking about.

That's why they do it.  They get a charge out of angering complete strangers on an anonymous forum.

I just think House republicans need to up their game in the Speaker position. We need someone with a dynamic personality and excellent communication skills in addition to solid conservative bona fides.

Holy moly, Aligncare, if those are your criteria I ought be made Speaker. It is only my praiseworthy humility which keeps me from seeking the post.

I like Louie Gohmert.   Smart and a straight shooter.

LOL!  He's fine as long as nobody casts aspersions on his asparagus. Then he gets really mad.

LOL.

I differ with him on that point.  You can cast all the aspersions on asparagus that you want.  And it's still nasty stuff.

Hasn't it been said that the Speaker of the House can be anybody?
Not even a current -member- of the House?

In that case:
- David Greenfield for Speaker
- Mark Steyn for Speaker
- Mark Levin for Speaker

If they don't want the job, I'll gladly take it and I'll work cheap.
I might even put a tie on for it, and I swore 30 years ago I would never wear a tie again!
(and haven't)...

I'd add Allen West to that list.

Thumbs up on Allen West. Good communicator.

I love Mark Steyn for his wit and sardonic humor. And wouldn't it be a hoot hearing his accent coming from the speakers chair!

But to emphasize the point again, the next speaker shouldn't be just someone promoted to the position by a back-room political process, but rather someone coming forward who has the character to wrangle Obama for the next year and win on the issues. Someone who can articulate a dynamic vision and attract public support by distinguishing conservative ideas from those of Obama's. In short, a fighter for taxpayers, not special interests.

It was a joke one of my friends made on Twitter - he's REALLY left, actually worked both of the Worm's campaigns.

But I thought why the hell not?

Knows his way around politics but isn't part of the DC machine.
Rich enough not to be bribeable.
Detests the Worm.
Massive name recognition.

He would not answer any of their questions - was talking out both sides of his mouth.

I looked up the definition of politician.

"One who will not answer any questions and talks out of both sides of his mouth."
November 6, 2012, a day in infamy...the death of a republic as we know it.
