It was the Media spin on Tet that lost the war, because EVERY provincial capital that was attacked was held or retaken--which was a massive military defeat of the North, only mis-portrayed somehow as a defeat of the South and US forces by the talking heads, foremost of which was Walter Cronkite. The VC were practically eliminated.
