I think you're absolutely right -- no question.
If anything, I believe a principled impeachment of Obama would result in a groundswell of support for the Republicans at the grassroots and at the state levels.
Americans have had enough of him, and would welcome his departure from office, even if that departure is involuntary.
After seven or so years of wisecracks about Joe Biden being "Obama's insurance", I think he would be welcomed into the presidency in the same way that Gerald Ford was back in 1974 (and I still remember Ford's short and unassuming speech made on the front steps of his house -- "here, the people rule.").
If we want "the people" to keep rulin' in America, there is one, and only one, "principled" thing to do.
Everyone here knows what that is.
Do I sense -- just sense -- that attitudes about that might be beginning to change?
