 Trump aides predicting 'brutal' September

Aides hope to use meetings in New York this week to figure out their plans for the debt ceiling, 2018 budget, tax reform, infrastructure spending and perhaps another stab at repealing Obamacare.

By JOSH DAWSEY

08/13/2017 05:43 PM EDT Inside President Donald Trump’s White House, no one seems to be looking forward to September.

Senior officials have described the coming month as "brutal," “bad” or “really tough” because of the confluence of complicated issues — but they also say it’s pivotal to getting the presidency back on course.

Aides hope to have a better blueprint for how the president wants to proceed on a series of thorny issues — the nation’s debt ceiling, the 2018 federal budget, tax reform, infrastructure spending and perhaps another stab at repealing Obamacare — after a series of meetings in New York this week.

A shutdown of the federal government is coming, and Trump is itching for that fight.

As I understand it, when a govt shut down occurs it's only non-essential services that get closed and it is at the executives discretion how monies coming in are spent. It might be nice to see how much of the govt we can get along without.

Hopefully, those adivising Pres. Trump will be from the Sen. Cruz & Lee side of things rather than the McConnell & Ryan side. I think the latter will panic and give the Rats whatever they want and the former will apply pressure to the Rats by cutting off spending to their core constituencies.

The agency I work at is considered nonessential. Most employees were furloughed during the last shutdown. Haven't seen any guidance from management yet. No surprise there, they're all reactive.

September has always been a bad month for Trump, brings up bad memories.

Cute, as always, but what the heck is the disease to which you refer?  Do I have it?  And should I be more aware of it?

Of course, I looked it up.  Auto immune diseases can involve more serious results.  One time, my body mistook my thyroid gland for an enemy and attacked it.  I had to drink a radium cocktail.  I blame everything subsequent to that on drinking that cocktail.

I was just trying to bring awareness to people that lose their hair, for whatever reason, @Emjay and can't afford the Men's Club on steroids as our wonderful President has, don't read to much into it....lol

I know, but remember, he has lots of hair available to comb over those pesky bald spots.

pushing 70 with a rather short stick, I too, have a rapidly growing bald spot on the back of my head but vanity seems to have bypassed me cause I really don't give a rats ass, of course had I run for city council in 2008 as was requested by the 'local money changers' I might have took to the combover to fix my little problem, I already have a great tan as I'm sure you do also.

PS:   My hair is probably longer than yours in most places.

Probably, but at least I don't have a bald spot.

And you can't grow an unruly Beard either, so there's that too.

A government shutdown?
Again?
BRING IT ON.

Let the government shutdown.
Let the Congress shutdown.
Few of them are any good, anyway.
Certainly none of the democrat/communists.
And a whole lotta (so-called) Republicans as well.

Let the bureaucracies close for a while. Who needs most of 'em?

How long will the government need to be "shut down" until the budget is balanced?

You don't need a budget to maintain rubble.  We could burn it all down and start over, after the requisite purges of the elite, the scholars, and the inferior.
