Tina Turner becoming Swiss citizen

What Gerard Depardieu is to France, Tina Turner may be to the United States.

The Nutbush, Tenn. native is giving up her US passport, in favor of a Swiss one.

"I'm very happy in Switzerland and I feel at home here. ... I cannot imagine a better place to live," Turner told the German newspaper Blick."

Little Anna Mae Bullock from Nutbush, TN, certainly has come a long way. It's unclear if Turner is making this change in order to avoid taxes or for some other reason, but she's worth some bucks these days so taxes may have been a factor, which is ironic given that in 2008 she exulted over Obama's victory.
