Adopt a puppy or kitty from your local shelter
Or an older dog or cat. They're true love❤️

I saw a glimpse of rabbits racing on TV. I had no idea that they could be trained; quite amazing.

Rabbits make quite good pets, too, as long as they get some time out of the cage.  We have two rabbits.  We regularly set up a larger pen that they can then do some running around in to get some exercise.  They also like to cuddle, a lot - much more so than cats or dogs normally do.  They also have personalities, which tend to be somewhat prima-donna-ish, like cats.  All of our pet rabbits have also enjoyed sitting up on the high ground - usually the back of the sofa.  The only real downside is, they like to chew, particularly electric cords.

Once upon a time, in my other life, I whined so much "that I never had a bunny when I was growing up", I came home and  hubby had got me one. Cute little black and white baby. We would leave it in the backyard during the day since my dogs didn't think having a rabbit was a good idea. In about a week, this little, cute rabbit had pretty well decimated the newly planted garden and decorative plants. I'll never understand how something that small could eat that much, lol.

But he did shut me up about "not having a bunny"!  :laugh:

They will do that, too!

I understand you can really get them moving if there is a Greyhound behind them :whistle: My wife's sister in Washington used to raise and show lop eared rabbits, until she was just not physically able anymore, when that happened her husband took over...sort of, he was raised hunting and fishing.

@Gefn

Here's one when they were young.  The grey one is Cloud and the black and white one is Oreo.
