LOL. This is our first Christmas with the dog, although we've had a cat for past Christmas. My wife is terrified that the dog will eat her ornaments. She delayed decorating the tree, and when she finally did, it looks like this:

You should make a movie.  😊

16 years ago today Our Golden Retriever "Beau" had enough with this guy.

Sorry...

That darn Beau:
Tales from past Holidays:

He must have snapped today... is all I can figure
out. He hated him anyway. I guess I should have
placed poor Santa out of Beau's reach, instead of
eye level on the coffee table. I suppose the
combination of temptation and loathing was too
much. Not to mention the jolly little fatman would break
into song with any loud external sound or a nudge.
He was one of those vibrating, rock Santa's that
would belt out "Santa Claus is coming to Town"
behind a loud guitar rock theme. Beau would poke
him in the belly with his nose just enough to set
off the player. Then he would back up, and bark
and growl until Santa stopped spinning and singing.

Red and white fuzz, a pair of tiny plastic Raybans,
and a disemboweled voicebox is all that is left.

I've never been to NJ.  Do they not sell trees there?

They took all the trees
Put 'em in a tree museum
And they charged the people
A dollar and a half just to see 'em

@Freya
@RoosGirl

This tree is one of those artificial ones. A GE, IIRC. Haven't had a real tree since I saw that fire study video showing how quickly a room becomes fully engulfed after a tree catches fire.

I love this story!  Poor dog, I am sure it was too much.  Out dog hates remote control helicopters.  Some things are just more than a dog can bear.

He never chewed anything in the house in his whole life. Outside he got his fiber by chewing sticks and outdoor stuff.  But boy,  he really hated that damn Santa!

I have a soft spot for black and white dogs.  Border Collies are so trainable.  I could watch this kind of video all day.

Teddy is my son's dog. He lives in VA and he brought him home for Christmas. The first time I got to see him. He's very friendly. My son got him from a breeder in Atlanta GA in late May, so he must have been born in March. I think he weights around 72#. They say he has lots of followers on Instagram.

It sure looks like it. I don't know about this Instagram thing. I've heard of it, that's about the extent of my knowledge of it.I don't even Facebook these days. I only joined yrs ago to see the photos my son was posting when he was in the Navy.

It looks like he has 2,871 followers.

I've only had Dixie four months but she has my heart. It's breaking today because I found out she has a mast cell tumor. It suddenly appeared on her left rear leg Thursday. It is stage one and operable, but she'll need a skin flap. I'll do everything possible for this sweet girl.

Fingers crossed for you.

I'm having an issue with my 12 year old Boston Terrier daughter - thought she was a goner earlier this week due to a neck injury - jury is still out but we're trying to fix it.

I'm surprised at how effected I am.

Thanks @skeeter. Just saw your post today. I hope things work out for your Boston Terrier. I have loved and lost nine dear little dogs. While it is breathtakingly painful to lose one, I can't live without them.

Still have six days to go until we see the oncologist.
