@240B There is something wrong with anyone who doesn't like dogs.
BTW,I also like cats, and feed strays and their offspring that were abandoned behind a local shopping center. A while back I started noticing some cats would show up to eat with ONE kitten, and was wondering "WTH? Who ever heard of cats only having one kitten?"
I think I found out yesterday, when I went to feed them and discovered a injured full-grown fox laying in the ditch behind where the cats live. Something, most likely another fox or a dog, severely injured her hip or leg,and she was so weak from thirst and not eating that she was down in the ditch, most likely looking for water, and too weak to get back out of it.
Called a "cat rescue" woman that I know and told her about the fox and how it was injured and dying and needing help, and she hooked me up with a woman she knows that rescues sick animals, and the woman drove 45 miles one way with another woman to get the fox. Damned is she didn't show up with a cat carrier and a blanket, and picked the fox up and put her in the cat carrier.
No way in HELL am *I*grabbing a sick and injured WILD animal with my gloved hands, but that IS what she did.
Like I said,I suspect that fox is "what happened" to all the new born kittens. The cats that were there yesterday seemed to enjoy walking up close to the fox,and then walking away when the fox responded by trying to stand and move.
Gonna have to call that women tomorrow and tell her to NOT bring that fox back here to release her. Bad things might happen to her if I spot her again.
