The idea that somebody looked at a purple onion and called it a red onion really bothers me.

Someone needs to start a "I put that shit on everything" thread...

Here's mine....  And as far as I know, it can only be found at HEB.

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

You should try it with some of this!

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

@Bigun

Love that sauce.

Open up a block of Philadelphia Cream Cheese and pour that over it like 'hot fudge' sundae.

Eat with your favorite crackers.  Yummy!

Just make sure you hit that treadmill in the morning.

Adding Cholula or Sriracha to ketchup makes it tastier on burgers. I know, comparatively pedestrian.
I am not and never have been a leftist.

If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

The OPENING SCENE

A terrific RATED STRONG R saga of Chinese  who crossed "The Salt" (Pacific Ocean) in search of a life in San Francisco, California.  It's one of the best series I've ever encountered on Cable TV.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND this.

I give it 5 popcorns...   :2popcorn:   :2popcorn:   :2popcorn:   :2popcorn:   :2popcorn:

Spent last night in a contemplative mood,  listening to hours of Jerry Jeff Walker and thinking back to my college days when he was my musical hero.    "They say successful men get what they want,   and happy men want just what they got"

Well, what I've got is a few hearty pours of well-aged bourbon,  and the music of my old gonzo compadre,

 Farewell,  happy man.

Queen's Gambit ... a very refreshing change of pace compared to all the standard bullshit spewed on Netflix.

Had to force myself to watch the 1st episode because I was not going to get interested in yet another Netflix flick where it's the young girl with super powers or talents.  Sick of them.

Wow!  Was I wrong.  That's not framed as a question.

It's a period piece beginning in the 60's ... classic cars, strange behavioral mothers, strict fathers, etc..

Don't miss it!!!   You can thank me later!

That's why I came here and posted them.

The Beethoven violin concerto is the finest concerto ever created.  And nobody performs it like Perlman.

The Spring -Four Seasons by Vivaldi I caught this afternoon while in the car and puts me in another realm.  And it's Springtime in November here in D.C..

I've heard this iteration of this song countless times before, since its release. However, today, suddenly while sitting in my car at a traffic light, 2:47 and on caused me to break down in uncontrollable weeping in a torrent of tears and a feeling of sharp daggers to my heart. I am not sure what spurred this sudden emotional trigger that seemed to not exist prior to today. But since then, in an attempt to finish the song unscathed, I have not been able to get through to the end without some level of emotional reaction to that part.

Malena - Ennio Morricone

gardenkeeper1

Its about a young boys crush soon turned obsession till he is truly in love with her, the real her. He gets to know the tormented life she has. Getting sexually harassed, lied about and to, raped, abused while enduring the death of her father and husband. No helping hand. Completely alone and nearly starving. They eventually attack her like animals because she tried to find a way to survive. Her beauty caused her being looked at as an object of lust and hatred by the women. This caused her so much pain. She is pure and beautiful on the inside which no one sees except him. Finally when she limps back into society, her vibrant physical beauty is fractured and society's women are at ease now. But the beauty of her graceful character and soul still shines through to him, and he sees it. The beauty that is still her.

Impressive young lady! I'm pretty surprised at the array of munchkin-sized non-toy instruments, especially the drum kit and bronze. I could make out the Sabian logo on the top hat and another cymbal, starter-grade but definitely not junk.

Yeah... at first I thought - That is child cruelty to get a six-year old child..a girl at that, to learn each part.

My mouth fell open at the guitar lead solo toward the end!

I suspect she enjoys making music, though I'd guess guitar may be her favorite.

Regina Spektor  -  You Got Time

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
