Zohran Mamdani became mayor of New York City in the last election, and even though it's been only months, it appears the honeymoon is long over.
He's already faced headwinds because of his plans to explode the tax collections from residents and non-residents alike. He's specifically targeted those who own second homes in the city for his attacks. He's tried setting up government-subsidized grocery stores and stunningly claimed that people would have to show identification to shop. He's proposed massive spending programs with no way for them to be funded.
All in the cause of his Democratic Socialist agenda.
His honeymoon, what there was of it, now has disintegrated entirely, as he was humiliatingly booed off a stage while attending a pro-police event on Staten Island.
Mamdani attempted to address about 3,500 residents and families attending the New York Police Department's 43rd Patrol Borough National Night Out Against Crime event on Tuesday. His remarks, however, lasted less than a minute as loud boos, jeers and chants of "get out of here" and "nobody wants you" drowned out his voice, Fox News reported.
