What It’s Really Like to Deal with Iran
We’ve been doing this same dance for decades.

Ever since the 1979 Iranian Revolution that overthrew the U.S.-backed Shah to usher in the Islamic Republic, Iran has presented the United States a difficult and very often frustrating foreign policy challenge.  Successive U.S. administrations — both Democrat and Republican — have deemed Iran, and more specifically its radical militant Islamist leadership, a threat to the United States and its interests.

Despite this longstanding adversarial relationship, often marked by violent, subversive, terroristic episodes — and now war over whether Iran will possess nuclear weapons — both Republican and Democrat administrations have, in good faith, reached out to Iran over the years with substantive deeds and diplomacy with hopes to restore and normalize relations.

There are precedents in U.S.-Iran relations for “disaster diplomacy,” with the intention that providing humanitarian assistance during calamities might be the impetus for cooperation, conflict resolution, and international relations.  In June 1990, a private American relief airplane landed in Iran after the Manjil-Rudbar earthquake in the north and then again in June 2002 during another earthquake in northwest Iran.  As U.S. aid arrived indirectly in early July 2002, President George Bush would publicly declare, “Human suffering knows no political boundaries.”

The Iranian regime is a revolutionary regime of revolutionaries who want to spread their revolution.

If the West wants to send them stuff for free, they'll take it.  That's less they'll need to divert from spreading their revolution.

Any generosity to Iran is akin to supplying the Bolsheviks the rope they'd use to hang us.

They are a nation blessed with natural resources and an educated population.  They have potential to be a great nation, but, instead, they divert all their resources towards spreading their Revolution.  The US and Israel are their enemy because those nations are preventing them from conquering the entire Middle East.

They have also have their sights set on any other nations that would rival them for power and control in the Middle East - Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.

The strategic objective of backing the Houthis in Yemen was to create a pro-Shia, pro-Iran satellite state that could threaten Red Sea maritime commerce and foreign Red Sea naval transits.  It was also hoped that a Houthi-controlled Yemen would be a destablizing force on Saudi Arabia's southwestern border.

The revolutionary regime of Iran has no interest in anything other than spreading their revolution and increasing their power and influence in the region - displacing the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey, with a watchful eye on Russia.

So far, but there are approximately 4,500,000 Muslims residing in the U.S. that are counted for. That is close to 1.5% of the population.  That may not seem like many, but a takeover of our country is starting to evolve.

With Joe's open border policy in the past, I would venture to say that the number is significantly higher.
