MTG Teams Up With Tucker Carlson and Thomas Massie to Plot New Political Party: ‘The Movement Has Begun’
Sean James Aug 1st, 2026, 2:43 pm

Former Republicans Majorie Taylor Greene and Tucker Carlson are apparently serious about their plans to launch a new political party — and they’ve got some help too.

Greene posted a picture on Saturday of her and her new husband Brian Glenn sitting at a wooden table headed by Carlson, who was flanked by lame duck Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and another ex-fan of President Donald Trump: Joe Kent, the former director of the National Counterterrorism Center who quit earlier this year in protest of the Iran war. Massie and Kent’s wife are also seated at the table.

Everyone appears to be pretty jolly in the picture — and focused on their mission to upend American politics.

“We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise. But he’s betrayed us all,” Greene wrote. “Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center.”

“The movement has begun,” Greene capped off her post.

I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.

Might as well.  The GOP is going to spend the next two and a half years fighting over which country to bomb next.  After some time in the wilderness, they can pretend to care about ordinary people again.

The 'movement' has begun?  What movement?  MTG is disillusioned and has lost touch with reality and I'm convinced that Carlson has been bought and paid for.  I believe that MTG's political career is over and Carlson's days as a reputable conservative journalist are coming to an end.

Every last one of them has jumped the shark.

How so?

So tell us you are a member of their new party without telling us you are a member.

No, @Wingnut  -- I'm quite happy in the American First wing of the Republican Party. happy77

All that I've read about this group of folks, I have read on this Forum.  I have no interest in any of these people, so I don't follow any of them.

But, "grifter" is a pretty negative, and specific, adjective.  I'm simply curious why @mountaineer chose this word to describe them Hence, my question:  "how so".

No worries if its use was just hyperbole.

Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸
@FmrRepMTG
Republicans paid $40 MILLION of your tax dollars to Morocco to invade Spain.
And then they all pretended like borders matter and clutched their pearls like invasions are offensive.
R’s and D’s are the same and the Uniparty has put us in $40 T in debt and Americans LAST.

Thomas Massie
@RepThomasMassie
2 weeks before migrants from Morocco invaded Ceuta, the GOP passed a bill with $40 million for Morocco and a committee report advising:  Spanish-administered cities of Ceuta and Melilla are located in Moroccan territory and remain the subject of Morocco's longstanding claim.

He then cites something that is non-binding committee report language - not a bill. He's been in Congress and should know that.
And Ceuta is not in Moroccan territory. It's a colony of Spain, and has been for centuries.
Other than that, of course, these two geniuses are right over the target.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
Start a movement...eat a prune.

Yes, we need something more conservative than the feckless RINOs (well, mainstream GOP) that fails consistently to wield the tools of power long enough to hand them over. This has become a distinct pattern, and reminds me of the TEA party days when promises flowed like water until election day, when the well ran dry.

We DO need a new Party, but this ain't it.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
