It's still not completely clear as to what happened...
Did the shooter kill himself, or was he shot by the good guy who intervened?

Chad Williams, 24, is the man who police say opened fire in and around the Twin Falls In-N-Out restaurant. His identity was released by Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks in a press conference on Sunday afternoon.

Hicks said Williams was found “deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” but the chief did not share information on a possible motive for the crime.

Police also confirmed that three people were killed and seven others were injured in the shooting. Of those injured, Hicks said two were treated and released, three remained hospitalized in “stable condition,” and two more are in critical condition.

The police chief did not identify any of the victims by name. ...

It has now been confirmed that Jordan Salinas of Kimberly, Idaho, is the heroic armed bystander who returned fire and saved lives during Saturday’s shooting at an In-N-Out restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, three were confirmed dead on Saturday evening after a shooting at an In-N-Out restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho. At least five victims were wounded in the attack.

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks confirmed during a press conference on Saturday that a citizen returned fire at the gunman, 24-year-old Chad Williams, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

“We can confirm that there was an off-duty State Trooper and a citizen who actively engaged the suspect by returning gunfire towards him,” he said. “We want to take a moment to commend the actions of the off-duty officer and the citizen, and their heroic action to stop this incident. We believe their actions helped drive the suspect away from the scene, preventing further casualties.”

Yeah, I think us working through the details as this emerged leaves a little factual error overall. We don't know much about "Chad Williams" other than he once went to a local university and dropped out. The "hero" was actually one of two that returned fire... One police officer was armed but did not return fire (and was shot when he approached the shooter)... The one person that was on video returning fire with a 5.7 suppressed pistol has not had the police confirm if he hit the perp (that shot himself/suicide).

Probable in the long run we will learn very little more until we have forgotten about this tragic incident.

I agree with everything you just said. Ironically, The less we are told about the shooter , the more we are told about the shooter.

Ain't that weird, though? That you forget? I mean, every actual tragedy that I have borne witness to is indelibly etched into my mind. I can recall tiny details from say, a dog I saw run over 20 years ago... Yet Charlie Kirk - A guy I listened to for endless hours - He gets brutally murdered in front of God and everybody, and I bear witness to it (second hand)...

“Last month a man pointed an AK-47 at the door of a house only streets away from my childhood home,” he wrote in the Nov. 14, 2024 post.  ...

He mostly commented on news of the day, and often wrote about crime and immigration — supporting tougher enforcement.  ...

Williams also posted about protecting the First and Second Amendments.

“Thank you to [Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna] for cosponsoring HR 9534, the National Constitutional Carry Act. No one should have to beg the government to exercise a constitutionally protected right anywhere in the country,” read another post he re-shared. ...

Police have not yet released a motive, but said Williams’ family has been fully cooperative in their investigation.

“Their hearts are also broken at this time,” Hicks said of the Williams family.

The gunman’s mother apparently shares her late son’s conservative politics, according to her Facebook page – which features videos praising US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and ripping former president Joe Biden. ...

This guy sounds like he was totally off-the-wall and off-the-rails.

Did he leave a manifesto?
Otherwise, I sense we're not really going to find out too much more about him.

Even the details of what happened at the In-and-Out and the sequence of events, still seems... cloudy.
