Maine Attraction: Latest Maine Democrat Senatorial Candidate Troy Jackson Married His Second Cousin and Has Two Kids with Her
by Jim Hoft Jul. 31, 2026 9:15 am65 Comments

Well, this is different.

The latest Democrat candidate for US Senate from Maine, the one who was appointed by the party and not elected, Troy Jackson, married his second cousin and has two kids with her.

Investigative reporter Steve Robinson from Maine posted this bombshell on Thursday.

Jackson went to high school in Allegash, Maine with his childhood sweetheart, second cousin, and future wife at Kent High School.

Allegash has a population of 240 so there is not much of a selection in the area for those looking for love in rural Maine.

That's no big deal in Maine.  At least he didn't marry his first cousin.

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

I resent that.  Marrying first-cousins is illegal in Mississippi, but legal in Maine.  Jackson is from Maine.

If he did he could easily move to Missouri.

He wouldn't have to.

Far as I can tell, it is ok in the Bible, so ok to me.

Far as I can tell, it is ok in the Bible, so ok to me.

This became an issue since we discovered the science of "Genetics," and with it we uncovered the harmful effects of "Gene Stacking."   Many harmful genes are regressive, meaning they have no effect if it's only passed down to a child by one parent, but if it's passed down by both parents, it becomes active (Downs Syndrome is one example).  The odds of this occurring increases dramatically when both parents are blood relatives like brother/sister or First Cousins.

This is why most states prohibit marriage between First Cousins, and all state prohibit Brothers and Sisters.  Many states permit cousin Marriages if reproduction is impossible, usually because the woman is Post-Menopause.

I will NOT comply.

Okay, as an Orthodox Christian, I object to marriages within seven degrees of consanguinity (which we define more broadly than most, since besides being spouses, being a parent or child, being godparent or godchild, and even illicit sexual liaisons create a bond of consanguinity).  Meaning, for instance, second cousins once removed are okay, but second cousins are out.  So, I object.

But since Orthodox canon law isn't applied by any Western Christian confession, and is not instantiated into secular law anywhere in the US, why is this scandalous to the rest of you?
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.
