The Tale of the Leaf.

The Tale of the Leaf

Some stories aren't researched. They're remembered.

I usually write about politics, power, and the systems that shape our lives.

Today, I wrote about my father.

The Tale of the Leaf is a story about family, memory, the tradition of cigar making, and the quiet gifts we inherit from those who came before us.

No politics. No outrage. Just one story about the things we carry long after the voices that gave them meaning are gone.

If you've ever lost someone who helped shape your life, this one may stay with you.
