The Kavanaugh Opening Revisited: Did the Court Close Congress’ Door?

Mistakes are bound to happen along the way. They usually get fixed in the fullness of time, as long as we can keep abject dingbats like Jackson from becoming too numerous.  We need the Senate to do a  better job of vetting before Confirming!

And those "mistakes" always prove to be extremely costly to those who pay the bills (us)!

But they INSIST on doing that anyway.

Most recently, they could have simply said that the president does not have any authority to change the law by executive order - which was the exact question presented - and there would have been ZERO controversy but instead they once again colored WAY outside the lines.

And the way they structured it, it looks to me like ok we passed a law here and, so what we're not going to honor it anyway.

They've already boxed in by saying 'subject to the jurisdiction thereof' includes just being here long enough to pop out the kid and be on your merry way back to your home country, so why would they change anything because a law was passed? The definition has already been defined.

The definition was defined when ratified, then modified.

We all stand on the 1A, but if we are also standing in a crowded theater/situation, we best not yell “fire”.

It may pass, or it may fail, but the question of which it will be, won’t be answered by doing nothing.

I love all the liberals trying to argue against Kavanaugh’s suggestion on how to try getting this done, because we all understand that what’s really up is that they don’t want people to understand that there is, in fact, a possible path to shut off their future voter valve.
