Democrat Governor Blasts Own Party’s Far-Left Shift: ‘Socialism Has Failed’

Colorado’s Democrat Gov. Jared Polis is warning his own party that socialism is a failed ideology, urging the Democratic Party to reject the growing influence of far-left socialists as the party’s progressive wing gains ground across the country.
During an appearance on Newsmax’s “The Chris Salcedo Show” with guest host Bob Brooks, Polis cautioned that voters are increasingly being sold socialism under the banner of compassion without understanding what it actually entails.
“So, talk about this message that you are putting out about the rise of Democratic Socialism, or, as many say, including the president, Communism, in your party,” Brooks said.
“We’ll start there. What would your message to the people be?”
