Fox News Poll: Voters want major change amid economic and political discontent
Latest survey shows Trump approval stuck near record low
By Dana Blanton Fox News

Several findings in the latest Fox News Poll show voters are unhappy and want major change, which bodes well for Democrats in November: President Donald Trump’s job approval remains near a record low, more Democrats are motivated to vote, Republicans join Democrats and independents in rating the economy negatively, and 4 in 10 voters want "dramatic" or "revolutionary" change. Plus, more view the GOP as tied to elites than the Democratic Party.

Voters say Democrats can better handle income inequality (+22 points), healthcare (+21), inflation (+10), the economy (+9), and foreign policy (+7).  Republicans hold the advantage on crime (+7 points), while government spending (Democrats +3) and national security (R +2) are more evenly divided. On immigration, the GOP had an 8-point edge in April. Now, Democrats are preferred by one point.

The implication is, things look good for a Democrat takeover in November because the voters are willfully stupid.  Fox is probably correct....I don't know why we even bother trying, nobody's listening.

Voters say Democrats can better handle income inequality (+22 points).

Someone needs to keep explaining how socialism handles income inequality --- in vivid detail with testimony and photos.

Well…. This explains the sudden change of heart over the war at Fox News.

This election could be  like the blue wave of 2006 versus the blue wave of 2018

The American people are not stupid or sheep

They have watched their standard of living deteriorate and prices rise and a president who is uninterested, even dismissive, of their economic concerns

They’ve been told almost 40 times how Iran has been defeated and yet they see Americans being killed and Iran continuing to make attacks

More and more young people, especially, are being hit hard by the Trump economy.

They see a job market that’s getting tighter

The list  goes on and on

If this was a democrat president, and everything was the same, would folks here have an expectation that voters would reward that president in the midterms? I’m guessing not.

Biden and the Democrats were punished for less in 2024 and the Republicans are going to face the same wrath in November

I’ve been warning about this for over a year when Democrats were flipping many times long held Republican seats in the special elections and I got a lot of grief on this site, I even had to put a couple on ignore because they became unhinged when I pointed that out,  and now that we’re going into August and things are not getting better… Panic is setting in

And painting the opposition as communist is not going to work. It would work if things were going well and Americans felt good about the economy and the direction of the country.

Hopefully afterwards, folks here will start realizing the folly  of summarily dismissing anything that’s not pro Trump

The GOP is heading for a well-deserved and well earned shellacking. The question is will they have an honest assessment regarding that loss

Or will it just be lashing out at the voters calling them stupid and sheep and claiming the elections were stolen? Do you wanna know which one I’m betting on?

Ditto.
Live in  harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Apparently, neither do Republican politicians.

There are 2 basic problems I see.

A)  we already have a hodge-podge “system” for running everything which is essentially ultimately fascism overall.  If one aspect is very laissez-faire, another aspect is very regulated and structured.  No one knows generally what we’re getting with some policy change or suggestion, then.  We’re always told “we’re capitalist”. So blame capitalism when it’s all wrong.

B). People still want everything handed to them by daddy government for free. Which is socialism.

IOW, once people, realize they can vote themselves money, it’s all downhill.

We need experienced foreigners, naturalized citizens who can publicly explain and attest to reality of fascist/communist systems.

Too many are overthinking this

This is shaping up to be a change election. That is devastating news for the GOP.

It is not because people love the Democratic Party or embrace communism

It’s  simply a rejection of Donald Trump and Republican Party under his leadership

That’s what midterm elections are. It’s a way for voters to critique the party in power and provide checks and balances if needed

That's true, but the real problem is that they can't distinguish the difference between democrats and republicans. I have problems with that myself.

Yes, they absolutely are motivated by Trump.  They hate him.  HATE him, and that spreads to the whole party.  (Never mind I swear Trump is a Dem plant to do exactly this.)

Trump happens to be right many times, except his big fat mouth.  And that’s the big issue…but now that he’s a lame duck, he’s acting on more things he was supposed to be doing earlier…and that’s REALLY Ticking them off.

Not enough Republicans are EverTrumpers, and they’re not all that motivated.  They vote R, at best.  Couple that with EverTrumpers not as motivated to vote simply because their god isn’t on the program at all.  And of course, it’s a mere mid-term.

A minority of voters will determine.
