Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI) encouraged members of her party to embrace the term “socialist.”

Moore made an appearance on C-SPAN, where she claimed that Republicans argued that any government regulation of any industry — particularly for environmental reasons — amounted to “socialism,” and said that Democrats needed to stop being “shy” about owning that.

Hard to believe how we dealt with this only 3/4 of a century ago.   In my eyes....  Joe McCarthy is posthumous National Hero.
