Media ghouls, commentators across political aisle mock Lindsey Graham’s death with ‘good riddance’ posts
I expected these responses from the left. Sadly, I'm seeing so-called Christian conservatives on X expressing similar sentiments, including allegations he was evil and the "most libera" of the Republicans in Congress.

FBI is ‘assisting’ police after 71-year-old Lindsey Graham’s mysterious death one day after secret Ukraine trip and chilling Iran ‘murder plot’

By VICTORIA CHURCHILL, US POLITICAL REPORTER

Published: 11:14 EDT, 12 July 2026 | Updated: 13:10 EDT, 12 July 2026

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has stepped in to 'assist' local authorities in the wake of Lindsey Graham's unexpected death, adding to mounting skepticism surrounding the US Senator's sudden passing at 71.

The office of Graham, who had represented South Carolina since 2002, announced in the early hours of Sunday that the senator had 'passed away from a brief and sudden illness.'

. . .

This makes sense, because the FBI has better labs and anything less will feed a thousand conspiracy theories, which is already happening!

What are the chances he was poisoned by the Russians or someone sympathetic to the Russians?

They do have a reputation for using exotic poisons that are difficult to detect and mimic "natural" causes of death.

DVT would be an obvious suspected cause, but also a convenient cover for an assassination by poison.

The Senate Judiciary Committee is sure changing. Graham, Cornyn, Tillis, Durbin, Klobuchar… meanwhile, Grassley keeps ticking.
Good observation.  Without controlling the House, Senate, Executive or SCOTUS, Libs only have justices delivering power on their behalf and that Committee stands in the way of giving them a free ride to deliver up even more.

I was never much of a fan of Lindsey, but his vote for the most part was very dependable.  I'm sorry for his friends and family.  I pray he knew the Lord.

I love a good conspiracy as much as the next guy/gal, but I wouldn't think this is so far out of the norm that it would inherently be suspicious. I'm sure there will be a thorough autopsy, but prior to any other evidence being uncovered, I agree that a DVT is the most likely cause.

Can't they find someone who is not in their 70s..

Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., is "seriously considering a run" for the Senate seat left vacant by the death of Sen. Lindsey Graham, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to Fox News Digital.

The source also confirmed that Norman is expected to announce his decision Tuesday.

Norman has represented South Carolina's 5th Congressional District since 2017, serving constituents in the South Carolina portion of the Charlotte metropolitan area as well as parts of the Upstate and Midlands.

The 73-year-old Republican, a former South Carolina state lawmaker, backed former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley in her 2024 bid for the Republican presidential nomination. He most recently ran for the 2026 Republican gubernatorial nomination, finishing third in the Republican primary.

Norman would become one of the first prominent Republicans to formally enter the race to succeed Graham. Earlier Sunday, Rep. Nancy Mace told Fox News she was also considering a run, saying she would "be an idiot" not to at least explore a campaign.

Fox News Digital's Paul Steinhauser contributed to this report.

Jill and I are shocked by the sudden passing of Lindsey Graham.

Lindsey and I served together in Congress for over a decade, and worked closely on many issues throughout the years. We traveled the world together as members of the Senate Foreign Relations committee. We disagreed often, and sometimes loudly.

Lindsey and I did agree on the profound importance of public service. Like me, he loved the Senate as an institution, even with all its flaws and complexities.

To his family, his staff, his constituents in South Carolina, and everyone who loved him: Jill and I are keeping you in our prayers.

Perhaps not, if there is anything other than natural causes to blame. The latter possibility exists.

Dr Marc Siegel was just on Fox discussing this...he said it is very rare to survive this..it requires immediate surgery but unfortunately by the time you get to the hospital it's too late....very sudden.

Congress has the best insurance program in the nation. Did Lindsey not go to the doctor like the rest of us do?

You don't always have time. And it was the weekend. I suspect a lot of us just figure, well, I'll call the doctor on Monday.

Lindsey Graham is gone, Israel may never find another friend like him - comment
Jerusalem Post, Jul 12, 2026, ZVIKA KLEIN

Lindsey Graham died on Shabbat, two days after his 71st birthday.

Jewish tradition notices when a person leaves the world on Shabbat. Every Shabbat afternoon at Mincha we recite Tzidkatcha, three verses accepting God’s judgment, in memory of the three righteous men who, tradition teaches, died on Shabbat: Joseph, Moses, and King David. The Midrash tells that the Angel of Death could not touch David so long as words of Torah were in his mouth. The Zohar teaches that on Shabbat even Gehinnom rests. I am not in the business of handing out Jewish honors to a Southern Baptist from South Carolina. But a man whose entire foreign policy came out of the Book of Genesis left this world on the day Genesis calls blessed and holy, and I noticed.

In Israel we know maybe five American senators by name. Graham was one of them, and for a reason. He came here in wartime, repeatedly, when the airport was half empty. He went to Beirut to tell the Lebanese to their faces to disarm Hezbollah. He said things about our enemies that our own officials only say off the record. Israelis treated him the way we treat American support in general: as weather. Something that is simply there.

The last time I sat with him was on a Friday in Las Vegas in the fall, at the Republican Jewish Coalition summit. His team put us in a small room off the main hall. Senators at these events give you eight minutes and a handshake. Graham gave me as much time as I needed, and his office later wrote that he had sincerely enjoyed the conversation. I believed it. He argued like a man having fun.

He also looked worried, and he looked tired.

The worry surprised me. I assumed that in that crowd, the most pro-Israel Republican gathering in America, he would back annexation or at least shrug that it was coming. Instead: “If you want to marginalize the Jewish state, go down that road. It will do more damage to Israel’s future than any bomb Iran could ever build.” Then he said, “To be pro-Israel, you need to be honest with Israel.”

Days earlier, a very senior Israeli official, a man of the Right, had told me privately that pushing sovereignty in parts of Judea and Samaria right now was simply not feasible. Graham said the same thing without being asked. When Israel’s fiercest friend in the Senate and a senior figure on the Israeli Right land in the same place, that is worth reporting.

None of it made him soft. In the same conversation, he compared Hamas to a tiger that cannot change its nature and said that if no international force showed up to disarm it, “it will fall on Israel.” On the Israel-skeptics rising in his own party: “Seventy-five beats 25.” It is one thing, he said, to flirt with white nationalists on a podcast in a basement. It is another to sell that to voters in South Carolina.

[...]

So here is the question I have been unable to shake since motzaei Shabbat: Will there be another Lindsey Graham?

I doubt it, and that should worry Israelis far more than it currently does. Graham came from the generation of his closest friend, John McCain, Christian Reaganites for whom standing with Israel required no argument. McCain is gone. Now Graham is gone, mid-campaign, still arguing. The young Right replacing them is the one Graham himself described: the podcast Right, the basement Right, the one that thinks the Jews get America into trouble. Seventy-five still beats 25, but 75 is the harvest of pews like the one in Seneca, and those pews are emptying. The pro-Israel America we rely on is not infrastructure. It is people, and the people are dying.

Israelis are raised to believe we depend on no one, and on our worst days we half believe American support is owed to us. It is not. It was built, senator by senator, pastor by pastor, and it can be unbuilt by nothing more dramatic than a generation failing to replace itself. If there is an Israeli lesson in Graham’s death, it is this: The evangelical Christians who carried this alliance deserve more from us than a handshake at conferences. I keep coming back to the worry on his face that Friday. I understand it better now. Some of it, I think, was for us.

My grief over Senator Graham’s sudden passing continues to grow. This piece by Klein captures some of the why. Thank you for the post.

The problem I have with him is he talks a big game, but folded like a cheap suit when he came toe-to-toe against the Clintons.  That said, he'd have a better chance than Nikki Haley in November because she pissed a lot of people off when she had the Confederate Battle Flag removed from the State Flag!

Didn't always agree with the guy, but he seemed to always be willing to participate in civil discussion with allies and foes alike.

Lindsey Graham had among the lowest wealth in Congress despite a lifetime at the center of power
By Ryan King and

Published July 12, 2026, 8:50 p.m. ET

The late Sen. Lindsey Graham ranked among the bottom half of Congress’ big earners despite more than three decades in office and a top role leading the GOP.

Graham, 71, died Saturday night with a net worth of nearly $1.5 million, leaving the senator, who had a modest upbringing in South Carolina, ranked at 294th in wealth among the 535 voting members of Congress, according to data from the Quiver Quantitative tracker.

As a point of contrast, Graham’s personal wealth is a drop compared to Congress’ wealthiest member, fellow Sen. James Justice (R-WV), whose net worth is estimated at more than $664 million, according to Quiver Quantitative.

Both men earned a Senate salary of $174,000 a year.

Despite a 31-year career in Congress that catapulted Graham to the center of power in the Senate, the South Carolina native has never strayed too far from his humble roots.

Lindsey Graham joked ‘I can’t die now’ after complaining he felt unwell hours before sudden death at 71

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) reportedly joked “I can’t die now” after complaining he felt unwell – hours before he passed away at the age of 71 from a suspected ruptured aorta brought on by chronic heart disease.

Graham’s office announced his death early Sunday – hours after his return from Ukraine, where he toured a secret military drone factory and sat down for talks with the war-torn country’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky.

The senator, who was due to appear on Sunday’s episode of NBC’s “Meet the Press,” told someone close to him he was feeling unwell earlier Saturday, Axios reported.

HELL YEAH!

That is a VERY good memory to have of Senator Graham! I think I'll make it mine as well.

What?  Appoint someone who might have the best chance to retain the seat.  This sentimental pick might backfire November,.

Linsey's sister is also his adoptive daughter.  He was 20, she was 13 when their parents passed within months of each other and he raised her.
