I think that got clarified in the 22nd Amendment, but I'm not on my regular computer so it's difficult to look up now....

Here is a good read on the subject Cyber Liberty.  The 22nd  only deals with Presidents being elected  twice. Hope your day is going well.

Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground, they want rain without thunder and lightning, they want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters.

I don’t owe tolerance to people who disagree with my existence.
I will NOT comply.

That is an interesting point Cyber Liberty. It got me thinking, the Constitution does not specifically say that the VP must be NBC, but as the only real reason to have a VP is to have a replacement President. That really is all they are there for.
The only reason?

The VP is leader of the Senate and actually votes in case of a tie.

But those things must not be important to you, I suppose.

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

Constitutionally ineligible to the office of the Presidency should also apply to the line of succession --- when the succession process is activated, IMO.
