Honestly @Hoodat, I wish you'd either find another hobby or someone else to stalk. You spend so much time choking in the gotcha weeds that you've become unbearable --- making conversation with you impossible.

The President may put on a spectacular air show over Iran, but that's it.  He's not going in for regime change --- because he doesn't want to for a whole host of reasons.   And, BTW,  Trump won't be giving you the bloodbath you crave, either.  Your best chance for this is still with Ukraine.

Now ---  we're done.

For the fourth time, what did President Trump mean when he said, "decapitation"?  Again, this is YOUR post where Trump said "decapitation".  What did he mean by that?

Qatar is an ideological ally of the islamic regime.

Its relationship with America however is based entirely on transactions and bribes.

Allowing them to mediate some kind of "peace deal" is complete retardation. It's like calling Al Jazeera a neutral news outlet.

Insanity.

If Qatar is so ideologically similar to Iran, why did Iran send missiles into Qatar's LNG facility?

Is Qatar cowed into submission to Iran?

Iran shifts to political warfare, 'playing to the edge' to test Trump, expert warns

Iran is ramping up political pressure on the United States in a bid to gain leverage, a leading Iran analyst warned Tuesday.

"This is a regime that knows it cannot win an outright battle of conventional capability," Foundation for Defense of Democracies Iran Program Senior Director Behnam Ben Taleblu said on Fox News' "America Reports."

"They're even fighting a battle of wills right now against the Trump administration, both on the battlefield and diplomatically," he added.

"Clearly they have some steel, but this is a regime that has shown us, in word and deed, over the past 47 years, that it will play to the edge and that it will gamble. Unfortunately, we're in a very tough situation right now," Taleblu said.

Taleblu also said no U.S. president has inflicted more damage on the Iranian regime than President Donald Trump, but argued that the administration has recently pulled back from several earlier threats.

"I think eight or nine — and even a newspaper run by Tehran's municipality basically said all of Trump's threats are watered down and that the U.S. is a paper tiger," he said."So this is a tough position for U.S. deterrence to be in right now, despite the good track record that the president has had."

Taleblu's remarks came as Qatar said Tuesday that mediators were making progress toward ending the war, although Tehran denied Trump's assertion that talks were already underway.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 I am becoming increasingly optimistic the quagmire in the Gulf is largely ending.  Trump's Iran war gamble may be about to become the defining win of his presidency.

If the reports are accurate, the biggest Middle East breakthrough in years is on the two-yard line.

Omani negotiators and Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi have reportedly reached an agreement.

Now Araghchi has one job left: convince Iran's hardliners. He is optimistic he has it in the bag, according to sources close to the talks.

Behind the scenes, Trump has reportedly spent days bringing Gulf leaders on board for something much bigger than a ceasefire; a new regional order.

Türkiye, Syria, and Iraq are being positioned as the new pillars of stability, creating a network around Iran that leaves Tehran with a simple choice: join the new architecture, or risk isolation.

Achieving this will rest on two pillars. First, developing new energy corridors, including pipelines crossing Iraq-Syria-Turkey, that reduce reliance on the Strait while boosting regional prosperity. Second, weakening Iran's Axis of Resistance financially and politically to erode Tehran's ability to project power through its proxy militias.

Iran's nuclear program has been set back, its military capabilities massively degraded, NATO has been pushed to shoulder more of Europe's security, Gulf states have been reminded they must take greater responsibility for their own defense, and Hamas has been convinced to give up their weapons.

The longer-term goal is even bigger.

A Middle East where regional powers carry more of the burden, the U.S remains the ultimate guarantor, not the permanent garrison, and the Strait of Hormuz loses much of its strategic leverage.

Key players involved in helping Trump realize his vision for the Middle East are his emissaries Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Sec. Rubio, VP Vance, and Ambassador Tom Barrack, who helped weave all these relationships and deals together.  On the national side, while Pakistan led in the deliberations behind the original MOU, Qatar today is playing a critical role in bridging disparate national interests.

If this vision holds, Washington won't just have ended another crisis; it may have reshaped the balance of power across the Middle East for decades to come.

Sounds like a Neo-Con huffing paint thinner.

It would be nice, but it's unrealistic.

Iran prides itself on being the turd in Middle East punch bowl.

Iran doesn't want peace; it wants to spread its Revolution, like pouring ipecac in other countries' punch bowls.

Iran sees our desire for peace as a weakness to be exploited.

Iran doesn't win by conventional means.  It wins by bleeding the US ... of blood, treasury, diplomatic capital, political resolve, moral authority, stability, and prosperity.  They are the Eric Cartman of the Middle East.

Trump is projecting weakness and using the military to fight a political struggle.

The mullahs and the IRGC must be defeated from within, on the ground, not from the sky.

The Hamas part of the "Grand Vision" has already collapsed. Setting Iran's nuclear program back is not ending it, and they will continue to develop or buy nuclear weapons for first strike capability. Consider both cans kicked down a road covered in flowery optimistic language ...

🚨🇮🇷 Former Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has issued a stark warning, claiming that extremist factions within the IRGC and Iranian leadership are actively pushing for a wider, more destructive regional war motivated by an apocalyptic belief system, "seeking widespread chaos to intentionally accelerate the reappearance of the Mahdi".

Iran's diplomatic channels are effectively dead.

🚨🇮🇱🇮🇷 According to Channel 14 analyst Dror Balazada, Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has officially withdrawn trust from both Iranian and American negotiation teams. IRGC Commander Ahmad Vahidi’s zero-concession hardline doctrine is now official state policy.

US begins withdrawing refueling aircraft from Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport: Report
Move follows pressure to ease strain on civilian operations during peak travel season
Aug 6, 2026

The US military has begun withdrawing some aerial refueling aircraft from Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv to ease pressure on airport operations during the peak travel season, Israeli media reported Thursday.

The move came after Israeli Transportation Minister Miri Regev pressed security officials to relocate the aircraft to ensure the airport could operate smoothly during one of its busiest periods, Israel’s Channel 12 reported.

There was no immediate comment from Israeli or US authorities on the report.

The presence of US aerial refueling aircraft at Ben Gurion Airport has previously sparked debate in Israel over its impact on civilian air traffic.

The aircraft have been stationed at the airport since the US-Israeli military campaign against Iran began on Feb. 28.

The number of refueling aircraft stationed at the airport has not been disclosed, and it remains unclear where they will be relocated.

The report comes amid growing speculation that Washington and Tehran are nearing an agreement on several outstanding issues, particularly navigation through the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global energy supplies and trade.

Donald Trump Thought Iran Missile Shortage Was Fixed, Then He Confronted Pete Hegseth — Report

https://www.yahoo.com/news/politics/articles/donald-trump-thought-iran-missile-055650297.html

https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2026/08/05/trump-hegseth-clashed-camp-david-over-iran-missile-depletion-concerns/

Quote
President Donald Trump clashed with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at Camp David over extreme munitions shortages during the Iran war, The Washington Post reported.

Trump demanded answers on why advisers had apparently misled him about depleted stockpiles that now threaten military options. Shortages in long-range guided missiles and air-defense interceptors partly drove his recent decision to pull back from launching additional massive strikes.

The U.S. fired over 850 Tomahawk cruise missiles and more than 1,000 Patriot and THAAD interceptors during the first month of fighting alone. The military also expended more than 1,300 Army tactical ballistic missiles in the initial weeks. The ATACMs stockpile has now essentially drained, leaving virtually none available for operations or Ukraine's defense needs.

Hegseth defended himself during the confrontation and blamed his deputy, Stephen Feinberg, for the shortages. He also faulted Feinberg for not ensuring Trump received full information about the issue. Pentagon chief spokesman Sean Parnell pushed back firmly against these claims.

Parnell stated that Hegseth "did not mislead anyone about our munitions posture, and he did not blame Deputy Secretary Feinberg." He called reports about depleted stockpiles and internal disagreements "equally fictional." White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt similarly dismissed the report as "100% fake news."

Hormuz Deal Shock: Iranian State Media Says US-Israeli Vessels Banned, Oil Surges

Iranian state media (Fars) has issued details of the Iran-Omani draft plan for transit rules through the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. The country's parliament is said to currently be reviewing it, while Tehran still insists that the US has been sidelined, saying that the Oman-Iran contacts are bilateral.

As cited in Bloomberg from state media, key proposals include:

• Ban vessels linked to the U.S., Israel, and other hostile states
• Block military and civilian cargo tied to Israel
• Restrict ships linked to actions against the "Axis of Resistance"
• Deny passage to parties owing compensation to Iran
• Impose fines of up to 20% of cargo value for violations

President Donald Trump declared Thursday that the U.S. has a "massive" munitions stockpile and "treasonous" leakers are "being hunted down" after reports emerged claiming the U.S. Army has burned through nearly all of its stockpiles of two of its primary long-range precision weapons.

The Army has used "virtually all" of its inventories of Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) and Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM) during the five-month conflict with Iran, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with internal U.S. military data.

"The U.S. has massive amounts of ‘munitions,’ especially of certain types. Additionally, large amounts are being manufactured and shipped to the U.S. as needed. Defense companies are building the largest number of plants and factories in our country’s history," Trump wrote on Truth Social early Thursday.

"The ‘leakers’ of these treasonous statements are being hunted down. Long term jail sentences will be sought!" the president added.

Trump’s message was reposted on X by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.

If accurate, the Reuters report underscores a long-standing Pentagon concern: America's most sophisticated precision weapons can be expended in months but often take years to replace.

Officials fear the drawdown could complicate the military's ability to respond to future crises involving adversaries such as China and Russia, according to the report.
