They don't have nearly enough of them.

It is looking more and more like we were not prepared for a war of this nature and duration.

They don't have nearly enough of them.

Is there a real difference between not working and not having enough of "them"? Besides the devices are either handheld or mobile mounted. They would be forward deployed and stationed at the most likely and most valuable positions. Certainly the repeated attacks by Iran on the Jordanian base where US troops are stationed would be the highest priority.

The current anti drone devices do not work in actual combat.

Qatar said Tuesday it is working with all sides to find a diplomatic solution as President Donald Trump and Iran continued to publicly disagree over whether direct talks are taking place.

"We're looking into a diplomatic solution," Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari said during a briefing. He said mediation efforts are continuing with all parties but did not provide details or address the conflicting claims from Washington and Tehran.

The remarks came a day after Trump said the U.S. had resumed talks with Iran and claimed a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and address Tehran's nuclear program is "imminent."

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei pushed back on Trump’s claim, saying on Monday that Tehran is not holding direct talks with the United States. Instead, he said, Iran is communicating through mediators in Oman on issues related to safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump accused Iran's leaders of publicly denying negotiations while privately requesting meetings.

"Whether Iran wants to admit it or not, we are, in fact, talking," Trump said Monday.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Glad to see increasing numbers of commentators denouncing the Arab states, as I have for weeks, led by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, that undermine our war effort against Iran in various ways, and lobbying us against actually defeating the regime, as well as embracing my repeated call for arming the Iranian people and targeting major Iranian oil infrastructure, especially Kharg Island.  The goal must be defeating the regime and as quickly as possible.

BREAKING: President Trump has reportedly given Iran until Tuesday to agree to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face what he described as “devastating strikes,” according to Bloomberg.

The ultimatum comes as Washington continues to pressure Tehran to restore commercial shipping through the strategic waterway.

Similar deadlines and threats have been issued repeatedly in recent weeks without leading to military action, so it remains unclear whether this latest warning will result in a strike.

BREAKING: Trump sets a new deadline, giving Iran until the end of today to finalize a Strait of Hormuz agreement with Oman or face "devastating air strikes," per Bloomberg.

Trump adds "I want to give them every last chance before decapitation... You'll find out today."

The agreement with Oman however would not be something that Trump wants, a senior Iranian official tells Reuters it would grant Iran total sovereign authority over all inbound maritime traffic, and Oman would clear outbound vessels only after notifying Iranian officials, ensuring Iran retains visibility and the option to intervene.

Why Trump is downplaying reports Russia and China are helping Iran
Morgan Phillips

President Donald Trump cast doubt in recent days on allegations that Russia is helping Iran target U.S. forces, even as members of his own administration acknowledge Moscow and Beijing are supporting Tehran in other ways.

Trump dismissed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's claim that Russia supplied Iran with satellite imagery of U.S. military installations in the Gulf, saying any assistance would have been "very unimpactful" given the damage inflicted on Iran's military.

"We’ll find out if that’s true. I’ll ask Putin. We’ll find out," Trump told reporters at the end of July.

"I don’t think they’ve been doing it, certainly not at a high level," Trump added. "And if they have, it has been very unimpactful."

Trump pointed to the damage Iran’s military has suffered during the war. Russian help, he argued, has failed to stop the United States from destroying much of Tehran’s conventional forces.

Trump's comments came as his administration confronted separate reports that Russia and China are helping Iran in different ways — allegations that, if borne out, would suggest America's two chief geopolitical rivals are quietly supporting a nation at war with the U.S. Members of his own administration have acknowledged broader help from Moscow and Beijing.

So, Oman wants to move themselves into the category "Enemy?"  May not be their best option.

The U.S. Army has burned through much of its stockpile of precision long-range missiles during the five-month war with Iran, according to an exclusive Reuters report, raising new concerns about America's military readiness if another major conflict breaks out.

Citing three people familiar with the data, Reuters reported the Army has used "virtually all" of its Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) and newer Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM).

One source also told Reuters the U.S. has used a little less than half of its global supply of Tomahawk cruise missiles since the war began, though Reuters said it could not independently verify that figure. The Navy's Tomahawk missiles are launched from destroyers, cruisers and submarines and are designed to strike heavily defended targets without putting pilots at risk.

The precision-guided ATACMS and PrSM, which cost more than $1 million each, allow U.S. forces to strike targets from long distances and have become key weapons in modern warfare. ATACMS have also been supplied to Ukraine for strikes against targets inside Russia, while the PrSM is the Army's next-generation replacement with greater range.

Reuters reported the shrinking missile stockpile could force President Donald Trump to rely more heavily on riskier piloted bombing missions if he resumes large-scale attacks on Iran.

Trump launched the campaign alongside Israel in February after predicting the conflict would be brief. But as the war has dragged on, sources told Reuters they worry dwindling missile inventories could weaken the U.S. military's ability to deter adversaries such as China and Russia.

A fourth person familiar with the matter told Reuters that while U.S. Central Command has nearly exhausted the land-based missile inventory it had at the start of the war, it has continued replenishing supplies by drawing from stockpiles elsewhere around the world.

Asked about the reported stockpile data, the White House provided Reuters with a statement from Trump.

"The United States has far more munitions than anyone in the world, and far more than we need," Trump said.

"Our defense companies are, at this moment, making more munitions than they have ever made before, in addition to expanding their plants and equipment at record levels," he added.

While analysts agree U.S. production of key munitions has increased significantly, they have also cautioned that current manufacturing levels may not be sufficient to sustain a prolonged, high-intensity conflict.
