Democrats Are Turning Out In Droves — Even In MAGA Country

Democrats are boasting a major uptick in voter turnout for key races, even in districts that trend towards Republicans.

Primaries and special elections have seen a far greater turnout among Democrats than among Republicans, which may reflect higher turnout in the high-stakes midterms this November, according to an analysis by the Washington Post.

Democrats are outperforming Republicans even in low-stakes races, with Democrats overall casting 12.6 million ballots in House primaries so far this year compared to just 8.6 million in Republican primaries.

In this year’s primaries so far, over 90 percent of Democrat House primaries saw higher voter turnout than in 2022, when the GOP flipped the House, according to the Post’s analysis.

Republican apathy too...that how Spanberger won in Virginia, most of the Commonwealth's registered Republicans never bothered to vote.

Trump would’ve never won his election if just his MAGA base voted for him

Spanberger also won amongst groups that voted for Trump in 2024

You've nailed the real problem, which Rat turnout is superfluous to.

If MAGA alone can't win elections, neither can Rat votes alone.

Between heavy Rep turnout and winning the Indie vote with sanity, most of these elections would be easy wins.

You realize how flawed your math is? If turnout is lower, but one party's turnout is higher, yeah it's likely she won groups that Trump won, but wouldn't have if turnout among the GOP was better.

You seem very mathematically challenged. Then again you couldn't spread the propaganda otherwise.

A few of us saw the same state of denial back at about this time in 2018 where Democrats ended up sweeping over 40 seats that fall in the House

Whether members here or not like to admit  it, the fact is the Democrats are winning and winning  big

And it’s 100% at defeat of Donald Trump.

I’m not trying to convince anybody of anything. Just laying out the facts as they are today.

Flipping districts that have long been held by Republicans and in some cases for several decades, it’s not something you can just easily dismiss

Making me the issue does not change any of those facts

I don't know that I'll make it to November. If SCOTUS gets Trump v. Barbara wrong I' probably won't be posting because our Republic will be dead as a post at that point.
