Trump has said this same trope too many times only to switch at the last minute, and he does the exact opposite of what he says he is going to do.

I hope this time it is actually real. But I can only believe it when I see it literally happen. Trump's words no longer impress anybody. He has worn out his bluster gig.
It would not surprise me in the least for Trump to start this, and then to stop it on the edge of victory to try again "to make a deal" at the very last minute.
Trump cannot be trusted with war. He is a 'peacenik' at heart. Trump does not have the warrior ethos.

A ground invasion that rivals that of D-Day decades ago.

We didn't steal any oil, we enabled its shipments through the Strait to the parties who legitimately purchased from non-Iranian countries in the Gulf.

War is fair?  Charging fees to access the Strait of Hormuz is ok?  Iran is trustworthy?  I don't see this as a stunt I see this as helping aid other countries including the U.S.

If we were to bomb Iran into oblivion would that be an acceptable 'stunt'??

President Donald Trump said he is preparing new strikes against Iran’s infrastructure after accusing the Islamic Republic of dragging its feet on peace talks and warning the regime that it will “have to pay the price.”

Trump told Fox News Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst in a phone call Wednesday that he is “getting close to ordering new strikes against Iranian power plants and bridges.”

The president also accused Tehran of “tapping the United States alone when it comes to the negotiating process,” according to Yingst.

The comments came hours after Trump issued a fiery Truth Social post following the downing of a US Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz on Monday.

“They’ve taken too long to negotiate a deal that would have been great for them, now they will have to pay the price!!!” Trump wrote Wednesday morning.

He also declared that Iran’s military had been devastated.

“Iran’s Military is a complete and total mess. Much of it, like their Navy and Air Force, doesn’t even exist anymore – They have been completely defeated. Iran is all talk and no action. The Bully of the Middle East is DEAD!!! ” he added.

Iran-US war latest: American military launches new strikes in ‘response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression’

The U.S. military has launched a fresh wave of attacks on Iran after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth promised the country’s forces would be “busy tonight.”

“U.S. Central Command forces began launching additional self-defense strikes today at 5:15 p.m. ET against multiple targets in Iran at the Commander in Chief’s direction. The strikes are in response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression,” CENTCOM’s X account stated on Wednesday evening.

Earlier, Trump said that the U.S. is going to attack Iran “very hard” unless a peace deal is finalized.

“We'll see what happens, but we hit them hard yesterday, and we're going to hit them again hard today”, Trump told reporters at the White House.

After urging de-escalation between Israel and Iran earlier in the week, Trump vowed to press on “attacking [Iran] very hard,” citing the downing of a U.S. Apache helicopter in the Strait of Hormuz.

Yes!  Tankers from countries like UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain who had legitimate contracts and couldn't get their oil to market because of the Iranians.  All on the up and up.  The press suggested we stole it, and that was the big lie.

This is what I'm up against on these threads for which I get such grief.

The U.S. Military has launched a fresh round of strikes targeting the Iranian regime on Wednesday, June 10 after previously firing three waves of strikes on the previous day. Wednesday’s actions come after President Donald Trump and War Secretary Pete Hegseth vowed that strikes would continue following the downing of a U.S. attack helicopter on June 8.

“U.S. Central Command forces began launching additional self-defense strikes today at 5:15 p.m. ET against multiple targets in Iran at the Commander in Chief’s direction. The strikes are in response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression,” U.S. Central Command announced in a social media post.

Exact details on the number of strikes and specific targets remain limited as of this report, though a number of strikes have been reported in southern Iran, near the Strait of Hormuz. Reportedly targets areas include Bandar Abbas, as well as the villages of Minab and Sirik, all of which are located along the coastline in southern Iran.

Axios correspondent Barak Ravid, citing a senior U.S. defense official, reported that all the targets being attacked “are located in southern Iran and include air defense systems, radars, and drone command and control units.”

 spokesman tells me they have noticed a lot of bot activity online amplifying Iranian propaganda to make it seem like Iran has damaged more US assets than they actually have.

I asked which country is behind the bot amplification and whether it’s coming from inside the US or abroad.

They declined to comment but acknowledged the massive issue of pro-IRGC disinformation bots online.
