I like it, but you actually point to a few things I have about it.

The men are not accurate to period.  They’re clearly not wearing full outer coats or even the short style typical of dragoons, and are in regular khakis.  If they were just in short dragoon it wouldn’t look quite like that either.  They’re just regular modern guys wearing some kind of tricorn or cocked hats.

As far as MUSKET on the wrong side…actually, standard was to shoulder on the left.  Though they’re not necessarily shouldering here, just holding.

Sorry, I’m a huge RevWar fan and I get very picky about what is presented!  And, 1776 was only the declaration date….1775 is when it started with some reference perhaps to Lexington here.  At this point they would have been more an army, and centered on Boston overlooking the city, soon to move to NYC and be joined by some more regulars sent by other states.

Anyway, nice job.  But I still like the last Reagan one (and yes, funny calling out for outdated on Reagan, but not 250yo guys!).

Cartridge boxes on hanging on the wrong side too.  Early war continentals were mostly armed with 1st Pattern British Long Land muskets or 1728 French Charleville, Maubeuge, and St. Etienne muskets, with a smattering of civilian fowlers and some rifles (very specialized though with Morgan's corps).  They also either wore plain civilian clothes and/or with hunting shirts made from issued linen. They didn't get their blue, red, and white uniforms until after the French arrived in force in 1778, and even then, the issue was by lottery, leaving most of the army still in ragged civilian clothes for the rest of the war.

Yes, and these are not Continentals.  At best Lexington Alarm but just locals.  It was the first confrontation, but really by locals not any real army at all.  So, if representing the locals, there shouldn’t be “cartridge boxes” per se, nor all the accoutrements.  But there could be plain shirts as well as long coats, but not “uniform” at all.

Yes, and let’s not forget the breeches which are also quite tight, not baggy at the hips etc (I miss when men weren’t afraid to show themselves for a change, rather than we women have to show it all….but that’s another topic).

That I love - because I love the RevWar and I love and adore Washington (except, too much is made from his poor Stuart portrait - he wasn't old and he didn't wear a wig nor habitually powder his hair).

It's truly awe inspiring.

And to think only one-third of the colonists joined in the Revolutionary War.
One-third wanted to remain loyal to the Crown, and the other third
didn't give a damn one way or the other.

The podium does nothing for me.

I think a photo of Reagan and Trump together would be great.  Two of the best presidents in our history, both with a focus on open communication with the American people.  There is not one single Democrat POTUS that was as open with the American people as those two.

IMHO, Trump is a greater POTUS than Reagan, for he has certainly had more opposition with every step than Reagan was faced with.

Trump is not even in the same league as Reagan.  And I really don't want to see him on any of the banners.

I miss Reagan on the banner, but then I miss Reagan in general so that tracks.

I think the podium is pretty clever. That's the whole purpose of the site ... a place to speak.

I like the unattended podium.

It reflects essential the purpose of this site, which is to serve as a forum for information, ideas, opinions, open debate and discussion.

Wherever personality is allowed to become the focus: egos, emotions and hidden agendas tend to dominate, and discussion devolves into accusation and rancor... as with far too much of the internet.
