'Make it happen!' Todd Blanche confirms politicians are not exempt from criminal charges in fraud scandal

WND 5/29/2026

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has confirmed that politicians – like Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz – are not exempt from criminal charges resulting from federal investigations into Minnesota's massive social services fraud scandal.

There have been estimates that the cost to taxpayers in that environment could reach into the billions. Already, dozens of convictions have resulted from the estimated $250 million Feeding our Future fraud where companies billed the government, and were paid, for falsely claiming to provide meals to children.

Just this week charges were leveled against two Somali immigrant women in an alleged $21 million fraud, and another convicted fraudster was sentenced to 41 years in jail.

Blanche's comments came in an exchange with Will Cain.
