Six Flags to debut roller coaster that shatters 6 world records

Ah, those were the days; driving after parties at night to arrive in OH just in time for the amusement parks to open in the morning.  We used to ride roller coasters for most of the day.  Lots of fun (probably the start of my back problems).  We have an indoor slide park here that I wanted to try ... both my cardio and pt nixed the idea said it was too risky getting banged up.  I'm young in my mind still, but my body says to me "are you crazy"?

If you’re a thrill seeker, you’ll want to put Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington on your list of places to visit. The theme park is set to debut a roller coaster that’s shattered six world records.

The one-of-a-kind thrill ride, called the Tormenta Rampaging Run, will be the fastest, tallest and longest dive coaster in the world.

The 309-foot-tall coaster features a 95-degree beyond vertical drop and will travel up to speeds of 87 miles per hour.

It also features the tallest vertical coaster loop at 179 feet.............

As @libertybele said....those were the days!! I used to love roller coasters. Looking at the layout of that one makes me think what a trip it would be. Then my back and neck started hurting just looking at it, lol.

6 Flags has always had premier roller coasters. There used to one at the state fair called the Mouse. An old timey wooden RC. Just the creaking and groaning it made was scary enough...plus it was a good RC!.

Yikes!  Not "The Mouse" -- I'd rather go on a traditional crazy roller coaster with all the heights, dips and twists then "The Mouse" -- I rode it once, never again!!!

I'd rather be forced to ride the "It's A Small World" before I'd ever set my ass on that thing.

I remember when the Shock Wave opened at six flags Arlington, we rode it over and over.  This looks like fun, but I'm unwilling to stand in line for hours.

 :silly: :silly:  Are you sure???  "It's A Small World" has to be the most annoying Disney attraction and my daughter at 4 years old, loved it, so guess where we had to hang out for awhile???
