Hot town, summer in the city
Another summer of love?
Silvio Canto, Jr. | May 8, 2026
Are you looking forward to summer? I guess we all do, especially a trip to the beach with something nice to read. Nevertheless, this summer may offer other attractions, or specifically another wave or riots or protests in the U.S. All of it, of course, in the name of social justice, or whatever other slogan someone pays to print.
The summer of 2026 may be the perfect one to forecast these riots. First, the midterms are coming and blaming everything on Trump is the flavor of the week. Second, our cities are failing like never before. Third, some of our cities are run by demagogues, such as New York City, where we saw the mayor double down on protests. Seattle is run by a woman who wants to drive taxpayers out of town. And Chicago is run by a man who drove the legendary Bears to another state.
Last but not least, talking about slavery or Jim Crow is always more interesting than resolving the problems that these cities have today—problems created by the current Democrat leadership.
Let me share something that David Strom wrote:
Expect more riots. More political assassination attempts (hopefully thwarted). More attacks on Jews and synagogues.
More of everything that is tearing our society apart.
Tens or hundreds of millions of dollars are flooding into radical organizations from billionaires both here and abroad, and God knows how much from the Chinese Communist Party. Democrats have been doubling down on their violent rhetoric, even after the latest assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
Expect it to get worse, not better. The ICE riots in Minneapolis took place during a nasty cold snap, yet the protesters turned out. Nurses described their murder fantasies of using drugs to paralyze and kill agents, hotel workers tipped off protesters who stormed hotels, and restaurant workers posted about poisoning the food of law enforcement officers.
The riots over the summer will be about everything, because they are not about the issues, but about the Revolution™.
