From the article:
Secretary of State Marco Rubio was in the middle of a press availability following high-level meetings when a reporter tried the classic gotcha question — the kind designed to create drama and paint President Trump as out of line.
The reporter asked Rubio point-blank if he planned to recommend that Trump stop criticizing the Pope.
Rubio didn’t hesitate. He looked the reporter dead in the eye and delivered a masterclass in loyalty, clarity, and putting America First

Perfect answer. Reporters keep acting like they’re on the decision tree. They’re not. Access journalism is just gossip with a press badge.

The reporter asked Rubio point-blank if he planned to recommend that Trump stop criticizing the Pope.

Rubio didn’t hesitate. He looked the reporter dead in the eye and delivered a masterclass in loyalty, clarity, and putting America First:

“Why would I tell YOU what I’m going to recommend to the President?”

Then he continued, calm and unapologetic:

“The President will ALWAYS speak clearly about how he feels about the U.S. and U.S. policy. The President of the United States is always going to act in what’s in the best interest of the United States.”

Awesome awesomeness!  Rubio has come a long way from being John McStain's lapdog!

He has really come into his won since McLame is out of the picture.

Yet that was his first real action after becoming Senator was to aggressively seek amnesty for millions of illegals.

It is the #1 reason I do not support a higher position for him.

Right now, it appears he is well suited to the current job he has.

Marco realized pretty quickly that hitching his wagon to McStains Gang of Eight was a mistake of career-ending proportion.  I'm only just recently forgiving him for that!  To me, McStain is the poisonous tree that still bears poisonous fruit here in Arizona........

He'll be a good VP for JD Vance.  But I agree, seeking amnesty for illegal aliens almost ended Rubio.

Rubio has done a remarkable job as Secy of State.  He is certainly surprised me, but being affiliated with The Gang of Eight will always continue to be a hurdle for him.  Also, let's not forget that neither of Rubio's parents were citizens when he was born.

SCOTUS is supposed to rule on birthright citizenship sometime in June. I am not getting my hopes up, but at any rate I am hoping that they will rule that at least one parent must be a citizen of the United States at the time of the child's birth in order for the child to be considered an American citizen,  but if they should rule that way, it could be problematic for someone like Rubio if they have their eyes on the presidency or vice presidency.

I think that SCOTUS is going to rule which has been seen as the status quo; any child born on American soil is an American citizen.

I'm putting money on President Trump giving amnesty to the illegals...once he skims/deports the crud off the top.
