It’s Hard To Care About Democrats at All Anymore
Derek Hunter

We used to be in this together – Americans were Americans, and we simply disagreed on various policy points. I don’t feel that much anymore. My entire life I’d heard “Death to America” from various Middle Eastern countries, now I hear it from Democrats. I can’t get along with people like that, and I have no desire to. As a proud American, you can now walk the streets of Riyadh or Dubai more safely than you can through the quad at any major university in this country. Our enemies don’t have to try to destroy us, they simply have to wait – Democrats will work tirelessly to do it for them.

I used to have a sense of empathy, or sympathy, or whatever – a bond with other Americans, automatically. When I’d hear stories of some horrible tragedy or see a profile of a small town with a collapsing economy, the feelings were automatic. I never liked to see suffering human beings anywhere in the world, but when they were Americans it was more real; it hit differently.

Now, sad to say, when it is some leftist person, group or in a liberal stronghold, I have difficulty caring. New York City is heading down a pathway that will devastate its economy and harm New Yorkers in real ways and I’m here for it. They voted for it, they cheered the ideas behind it. My attitude is to let them choke on it.

Democrat Party...the Party of Infanticide

"Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience"

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
I care. Like I care about termites, locusts, rodents or other invasive and destructive species.

Yes, I know they are human, and I am commanded by my God to pray for them, but I am beyond investing gobs of compassion on people who revel in abject stupidity, who refuse to learn from the lessons of history, who insist on self destructive policy and its purveyors as their representatives and leaders, and then expect ME and MINE to pay for the damage and clear the wreckage, and repair the things we all count on, time after time.

Like a parent, dealing with their child, once is a learning opportunity, twice is not just bad luck, but poor judgement, and the third time is an entrenched pattern, an entrenched and determined insistence on being stupid, just as even a second bailout would be.

When people are so determined to be stupid, to proudly pro claim their stupidity, and so hasty to revile those who disagree with them, my Give-A-Damn wears thin very quickly, and, after decades of that being abused, it's already rice paper thin.

So I pray: Almighty Father, keep the tendrils of the unworthy from the levers of power, thwart them in their efforts to wreck things, and guide those who are capable and fit to lead us to do so, and in the right direction.

Or the short version: Lord, save us from the fury of the do-gooders.
How God must weep at humans' folly! Stand fast! God knows what he is doing!
Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
