Excerpt:
Iran has formally sent a proposal to President Trump aimed at ending the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, but Trump has already made it clear the offer is unacceptable.

According to Reuters, the Iranian proposal would reopen shipping in the Strait and lift the blockade immediately, while pushing all serious talks about Iran’s nuclear program to a later date. The 14-point plan also demanded the withdrawal of U.S. forces from the region, the release of frozen Iranian assets, payment of compensation, full lifting of sanctions, and an end to conflicts on all fronts including Lebanon.

President Trump rejected the framework outright.

So far, the only result is a lot of dead Iranians that believed Trump had their back.

I agree with the mission that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons but that hasn't been achieved so far. If something doesn't change quickly a major strategic failure is just around the corner with major consequences.

I see no evidence of this.  Iran's terms are not "asking", they sound more like the terms a victor would dictate than terms as suppliant nearly-defeated enemy might offer for the cessation of hostilities.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.
