- Statewide House popular vote:
Democrats ~52.78%, Republicans ~46.97%
- Seats:
14 Democratic, 3 Republican

Politics is supposed to be a competition of ideas, not a competition among electoral district cartographers to produce pre-determined results.

It is nothing but a toxic power grab.  Federal legislation is needed similar to the Redistricting Reform Act of 2024 (or a constitutional amendment) which holds the cartographer to a reasonable standard and bans mid decade redistricting.  Problem is, the Republicans are in love with gerrymandering, maybe even moreso than Democrats.  SCOTUS also needs to clarify its position on the VRA of 1965.

If Republicans are so in love with gerrymandering, then why are most of the 'Rat led states already gerrymandered?

The Republicans are in love with it regardless of what the Democrats were doing.  But they don't seem to have a clue about what the Democrats were doing or how elections work in a first past the post system.  Republicans whined about commission states like California and started this dumb war.  Without the VRA and the commission, California is going to end up drawing a 52-0 Democrat map.  Then Colorado and Washington will get rid of their commissions and draw 8-0 and 10-0 Democrat maps.  If Democrats seize the Arizona and Michigan in the midterms, the results will be similar.

How did the Reps start this war when most Rat states are already gerrymandered? Your logic doesn't exactly jibe. And if the GOP takes some states they'll do the same. With the VRA abolished to the dustbin of history the entire South will redistrict, so how about we pipe back on the  cherry picked scaremongering?

Please stop the CIA color revolution/Lincoln Project propaganda of peeing on our heads and telling us it's raining.
