Necessary roughness
The Iranians sense our commitment is wavering. I propose an escalation that would serve both military and psyop goals.

We’re likely going back to war in Iran, for we can’t give up now. The die is cast. Whether you are a Republican, Democrat, independent, war hawk, or dove, we’re in it now, baby...up to our friggin’ eyeballs, we have an ever-lovin’ war going on. One of us is going to ultimately surrender, and it better not be us.
The hard part is understanding the enemy’s psychology because it is so dramatically different from our own. The Iranians are already telling their people that they’ve won! Ironically, as of now, they certainly haven’t lost. See it from their perspective:
They control their territory
A theocrat is still (ostensibly) leading the country
They still have their nuclear ambitions and the fissile material to build a bomb.
They’ve paralyzed a large chunk of the world’s oil production
They still control their population and dominate the infosphere.
Their largest cheering section is the United States Congress, and those A-holes running Europe
They’re still alive (Allah is Great!)
When you are serious about winning a war, you must disabuse your enemy of any hope of victory. Coming off of fifty years of shading our punches lest we look like a bully, we’ve forgotten what it takes to defeat a real enemy.
Iran knows this, and they strongly suspect that we have lost our mojo. Recent events are seeing them reevaluating us as they digest Trump’s change of strategy. As of now, they are not sure how committed he is, or even if he’ll be restrained by the Iran lobby of Congress in due time, much as the Europeans seem to be in the tank for them, but they’re keeping a close eye on things.
