Ilhan Omar—Somalia’s answer to David Copperfield?
From $30,000,000 down to as a little as $18k, Ilhan Omar apparently has the magician’s touch.

An April 8, 1983 performance by magician David Copperfield stunned the world. But there was more magic performed earlier this month by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn), 44, that may give Copperfield—if she finishes pulling it off completely—a run for his money as one of the greatest magicians of all time.
Forty-three years ago this month, amongst immense anticipation and hype, before both a national television audience and live audience at the site of the magic act in New York City, Copperfield did the seemingly impossible. Performing that night, he made the Statue of Liberty disappear right before everyone’s eyes!
Observers were dumbfounded. Reality told them it simply was not possible to make a 305-foot and 62,000-pound statue disappear. However, as far as they could determine, that was exactly what he accomplished.
But what the master illusionist had done was really something quite simple. He relied upon perception, or perhaps more correctly “misperception,” to pull his disappearance act off. His audience sat on a platform which he then rotated in a way unobvious to them. Employing some other measures as well, what appeared from their standpoint to be the Statue of Liberty disappearing was only a created perception. It was the platform that was actually moving in such a way they failed to realize their own direction of view was being altered.
But, as impressive as Copperfield’s illusion may have been, Omar apparently wields some similar talents of illusion. And she has demonstrated her magic on two different levels.
First, Omar can make herself appear to be something she is not.
