🚨 REPORTER: You're saying Iran agreed to remove all enriched uranium?

PRESIDENT TRUMP: Yeah. They did 2 DAYS AGO. We were gonna go with them. But they changed their mind! They didn't put it in the paper.

"They agree with us, then they take it back!"

"So when they sent us this document that we waited four days for, they should have taken ten minutes to do. Look, it's very simple. We get that, they guarantee no nuclear weapons for a very long period of time."

"And a couple of other minor things, but they just can't get there. So they agree with us and then they take it back. But they said to us that it was so badly obliterated."

Enough 'good cop' already.  Who's willing to step in here and play 'bad cop'?  Good-cop-bad-cop doesn't work if there is no bad cop.

Today, political prisoner Erfan Shakurzadeh executed by Islamic Regime. Charged with "espionage for US and Israeli intelligence services".

His message from the prison:
"I, Erfan Shakourzadeh, am 29 years old, and I am one of the so-called 'elites' who chose not to leave the country.
After months of torture and solitary confinement in a cell, I was forced to make false confessions. Do not let another innocent life disappear into silence."

'Large group of generals' is waiting on Trump, he says

President Donald Trump teased that a "large group of generals" is waiting on his word for next steps in the conflict with Iran.

Trump made the statement during a press event at the White House on Monday as negotiations with Iran appeared to be at a standstill.

"Thank you to say a few words Katie's going to say. And followed by Monique Pruitt and then Olivia Walton, then Doctor Oz and Doctor Dorothy Fink and Doctor Alex Adams. And you'll speak not too long, because I am being waited on by a large group of generals. And that's also important. You know, having to do, Having having to do with the absolutely lovely country of Iran. That's the way they pronounce it," Trump said, referring to Sen. Katie Britt, R-Ala.

If Iran has been defeated militarily like 47 said, why does he have to go back to bombing what they built up? If they were defeated militarily, then they would have nothing to build back up from.

Typical 47 these days - little he says makes any sense.

The difference is between the TYPES of nuclear weapon materials. The 11 are made using uranium, the other 200 are made using plutonium. So they have, in total, 211 potential nuclear weapons.

The 11 are easy to make compared to the 200 plutonium weapons, which require testing, unless given help from North Korea, Pakistan, China, or Russia.

I do not know anything for sure, but its a good guess they are receiving help from one or more of their allies: Paks, Kim, Xi, & Putin.

Xi's been caught a few times sending missile fuel, Russia is likely sending drones, the Paks are sending supplies and maybe nuke know-how.

Bobfrom wrote in reply 763 above:
"But with so many changes in direction, comes uncertainty, confusion, and eventual collapse. Its no longer about the Art of the Deal, but the Art of  Collapse, where any effort begun, no matter how successful, collapses on the point of victory."

I have to agree with you.
Mr. Trump has let us -- and the Western World -- down on this one.

What Mr. Trump -thinks- is "a deal" ... the iranian muslims will instead regard as "a hudna".

My guess is that Mr. Trump was misled early on (actually before "the war" began) by both Israel and his own subordinates (military or otherwise) that "victory" could be achieved through a bombing campaign using conventional weapons.

There's no doubt that the bombing did an extensive amount of damage to iranian governmental and military targets.

What it DIDN'T do was to remove the existing leadership/power structure. They are like mushrooms -- kill one, and two, three or more pop up to replace the one you just eliminated.

Nor did it obliterate iran's ability to disrupt the Straits or still lob off missiles here and there.

Nor did it guarantee that their enriched uranium has been converted into unobtanium.

To do that was going to involve either an extended and extensive ground invasion, or the use of nuclear weapons.

Mr. Trump "saw the elephant" on this... and backed away.

I don't know if we should blame him. The once "United" States is no longer so. There isn't enough support (nor enough draftable youthpower) to support a full-scale war that could last at least six months to a year or longer.

Short of this -- and also driven by his obsession to "make deals" -- Mr. Trump will try to negotiate this one to an end. Again, once one has seen the elephant...

Still as Ayn Rand once said:
"In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit".

Something to keep in mind in the times ahead...

I doubt there would be any need for a draft.

Trump eyes renewed military action as Iran negotiations break down

President Donald Trump said Monday he is increasingly leaning toward resuming military operations against Iran following what he described as disappointing negotiations, according to Iran International, citing reports from Israel’s Channel 12.

“Trump is going to hit them a bit,” one administration official reportedly said.

“We wanted an agreement, but now everyone understands where this is heading," another senior official added.

The warning comes just hours after Trump rejected Tehran’s peace proposal, calling the offer “unacceptable” and “a piece of garbage,” while calling the fragile ongoing ceasefire “unbelievably weak.”

The potential move to renew military action comes after Trump was briefed at the White House on military options by U.S. Central Command, according to The Times of Israel.

Iran’s Parliament speaker warned Monday that Tehran is prepared to retaliate against any attack, just hours after President Donald Trump said the fragile ceasefire with Iran was on “life support.”

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf described any retaliatory action by Iran’s adversaries as a grave miscalculation they would ultimately regret.

“Our armed forces are ready to deliver a well-deserved response to any aggression; mistaken strategy and mistaken decisions will always lead to mistaken results— the whole world has already figured this out,” Ghalibaf said in a post on X.

“We are prepared for all options; they will be surprised.”

UAE reportedly carried out secret military strikes against Iran

The United Arab Emirates quietly carried out military strikes against Iran in recent weeks, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources.

Among the reported operations, the UAE allegedly struck an oil refinery on Iran’s Lavan Island in the Persian Gulf early last month, according to the report.

Reuters separately reported that an “enemy attack” struck a facility under the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company on April 8 at around 10 a.m. local time, citing Iran’s Oil Ministry news outlet, Shana.

In response, Iran launched a barrage of missile and drone strikes against the UAE and Kuwait, according to the WSJ.

The attack reportedly occurred just one day after President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire effort in the conflict on April 7.

UAE officials have not publicly acknowledged any involvement in the reported operations.

U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham said Monday that Washington may need a “complete reevaluation” of Pakistan’s role as a mediator between Tehran and the United States following reports the country secretly housed Iranian military assets on its territory.

“If this reporting is accurate, it would require a complete reevaluation of the role Pakistan is playing as mediator between Iran, the United States and other parties,” Graham said in a post on X.

“Given some of the prior statements by Pakistani defense officials towards Israel, I would not be shocked if this were true,” he added, referring to Pakistan’s defense minister calling Israel “cancerous” last week, Times of Israel reported.

Just hours earlier, CBS News reported that Tehran had sent multiple aircraft to Pakistan Air Force Base Nur Khan, potentially protecting them from U.S. airstrikes, just days after President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire effort in early April.

Among the aircraft reportedly relocated was an Iranian Air Force RC-130, an intelligence-gathering variant of the Lockheed C-130 Hercules tactical transport aircraft, the outlet said.

A senior Pakistani official reportedly denied the claims, arguing that the air base is located in a city where a large fleet of aircraft could not be concealed from public view.

Iran regime figures may escape to Russia as US talks collapse, analyst warns

The apparent collapse of high-stakes U.S.-Iran negotiations has intensified fears that senior figures inside Tehran’s leadership could flee to Russia, seeking refuge to "continue their insurgency and undermine any new regime," an analyst warns.

The breakdown in talks comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also told CBS’ "60 Minutes" that toppling Iran’s regime could now even be a realistic outcome.

Netanyahu noted that any collapse would dismantle the "scaffolding" of Tehran's global terror proxy network, also potentially ending Hezbollah's influence in the region.

"The whole scaffolding of the terrorist proxy network that Iran built collapses if the regime in Iran collapses," Netanyahu said.

"I think you can’t predict when that will happen. Is it possible? Yes. Is it guaranteed? No," he warned.

With diplomatic options perhaps exhausted and the regime's stability in question, an expert suggests the exit strategy any leadership may be eyeing might be similar to that of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who fled Syria in 2024.

"If the situation deteriorates further, some senior figures could potentially follow a path like Bashar al-Assad’s inner circle and seek refuge in Russia," Middle East expert Saeid Golkar told Fox News Digital.

Golkar, a senior adviser at United Against Nuclear Iran, noted that flight destinations would likely depend on rank.

While top commanders like Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf might head to Moscow, lower-ranking figures would more likely seek shelter in Iraq or Afghanistan, where the IRGC maintains operational connections, he clarified.

Burgum: ‘Essentially, Iran Is Now the IRGC’

On Monday’s broadcast of Newsmax TV’s “Rob Schmitt Tonight,” Interior Secretary Doug Burgum stated that Iran is essentially being run by the IRGC. Burgum said, “[E]ssentially, Iran is now the IRGC. It’s — we’re down to a sanctioned terrorist group.

This is what we have been saying...duh!

McFarland: IRGC ‘Not Going to Ever Settle’

On Monday’s broadcast of NewsNation’s “Cuomo,” former Trump Deputy National Security Adviser K. T. McFarland said that the IRGC is never going to come to an agreement. Host Chris Cuomo asked, “[H]ow do you balance…pressuring the regime without suffocating the the Iranian innocents?”

McFarland responded, “I think you compress the timeline, for five months is way too long. Compress the timeline, so that if you have resumed military action, say, for example, in a week’s time, that you, then, within maybe one, two, weeks’ time, you eliminate all those remaining military targets. You probably work your way down to second, third, fourth tier of IRGC leadership. To stretch this thing out because you’re going to have more and more negotiations, the IRGC has made it really clear, they’re not going to ever settle. They’d rather be martyrs, they’d rather die, than they would to sacrifice what they think are their core interests. But why give them an option? I don’t believe in regime change. Regime change that we have forced other countries, whether it’s Vietnam or Iraq or Afghanistan or Libya, you choose your country, it never works. Regime change that we enable, where we bankrupt the country, whether it’s the Eastern European countries or the Soviet Union and then they have the regime change on their own initiative, that’s the ultimate success story.”

Earlier, McFarland said that there will be a deal with Iran because the country will be bankrupted.

Iran’s top negotiator: Accept our proposal or ‘American taxpayers will pay for it’
by Ashleigh Fields - 05/11/26 7:33 PM ET

Iran’s top negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, on Monday said the U.S. must accept its newest 14-point proposal or else American taxpayers “will pay for it.”

“There is no alternative but to accept the rights of the Iranian people as laid out in the 14-point proposal. Any other approach will be completely inconclusive; nothing but one failure after another,” Ghalibaf wrote in a post on X.

“The longer they drag their feet, the more American taxpayers will pay for it,” he added.

The 14 point proposal includes an effort to end the war in 30 days, the withdrawal of American forces from Iran, removal of sanctions on Iranian assets, reparations payments, end to fighting in Lebanon and a new method to govern the Strait of Hormuz, according to NPR.

The proposal has been submitted to the U.S. through Pakistan, which has been mediating talks.

Iran’s latest proposal for peace follows a staunch rebuke to its response to the U.S. agreement submitted over the weekend.

On Sunday, President Trump said, “I have just read the response from Iran’s so-called ‘Representatives.’ I don’t like it — TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!” in a post on Truth Social.

The president has repeatedly urged Iran to permanently dismantle its nuclear enrichment program.

Tehran previously offered to dilute some of its highly enriched uranium and give the rest to a third unspecified country.

While Iran has pushed for the U.S. to accept its proposal, Trump has done the same.

On Sunday, Trump said Iran will be “laughing no longer” as he continues to hammer out the framework for a peace proposal with Tehran.

“For 47 years the Iranians have been ‘tapping’ us along, keeping us waiting, killing our people with their roadside bombs, destroying protests, and recently wiping out 42,000 innocent, unarmed protestors, and laughing at our now GREAT AGAIN Country. They will be laughing no longer!” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Sunday.
