Why has she not been arrested? Any one of us would have been. I am sick to death of the two-tiered justice system.

Exactly... I also tire of free passes given because of "special privileges" that are not afforded to ... well you know... Heck we had a governor that lost his position because he excepted a plane ride to preach at a church in a neighboring state. A freaking plane ride to preach while in office.

Florida Dem accused of stealing $5M in FEMA funds quietly files for reelection BEFORE resigning

A congresswoman’s carefully worded resignation took on new light as guilt of ethics violations hadn’t deterred her from advancing a re-election bid days earlier.

The midterm elections may be more than half a year away, but Congress has certainly experienced some shakeups already with a series of House resignations. While Eric Swalwell garnered most of the attention over rape allegations, and many still demanded the ouster of Florida Rep. Cory Mills (R), now-former Florida Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick’s (D) own departure from Capitol Hill may prove strategic as she chose to “step away.”

According to the Florida Department of State’s Candidate Tracking System, Cherfilus-McCormick had filed for re-election on April 17, just four days before she resigned from the House. The moves came weeks after she was deemed guilty of violating 25 House ethics rules linked to embezzling $5 million of COVID-19 emergency funds into her special election campaign to fill the seat of then-Rep. Alcee Hastings (D) who died in 2021.

Ditto.  Ok, so she resigned.  That will likely be the end of further investigations or indictments for her and for any other liberal, especially one of a different ethnicity than Caucasian.

Congresscritters think so highly of their lofty positions they can't imagine a worse penalty than being expelled.  "She been punished enough already!"

Hogwash!  She stole Millions from FEMA (!) while people from North Carolina and Maui got $700 checks when their homes were destroyed, along with all their belongings!  Let's not mention the people in her own District who got nothing because they had Trump signs in what was left of their yards after a hurricane....
