2 Liberal Politicians Arrested for Mail-In Ballot Fraud Scheme

A pair of former local officials in Alabama is now facing felony charges tied to an election that authorities ultimately invalidated over alleged voting irregularities.
Former Mayor Jacqulyn Boone and city council candidate Steven Thigpen were arrested in connection with alleged absentee ballot abuse.
The two liberal city officials are accused of abusing ballots during the August 2025 municipal election in deep-blue Ft. Deposit, Alabama.
The charges were announced by the office of Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall.
