This is the "Club" at work.  The House is one big happy club at work.  The very day a Democrat goes down, a Republican goes down as well.  In regular order, if a Representative from one side can't vote on something, a Member on the other side steps aside so the overall vote doesn't change.  It's a "gentleman's agreement." 

This is what we're seeing now.  Note this does not happen when the GOP loses a seat like when Marjorie Taylor Green quit, it only happens one-way.

It's one big happy club, and we ain't in it....

True.

But, if you "retire" you get all your benefits, pension, etc. If you get thrown out you lose those.

I would not doubt both sides of the aisle have a deep bench when it comes to these sorts of violations.
