The Swalwell story fits a familiar pattern

Democrats care about gross misbehavior within the ranks only when it affects their election opportunities.

Jack Hellner | April 11, 2026

Most of the media and many Democrats have a pattern of supporting degenerates for office while burying the truth, so the public has no idea who is actually getting their votes. The only time they act outraged and surprised is when the truth somehow comes out and imperils their election opportunities.

They know that Swalwell continuously lied about Trump and the Russia Hoax collusion.

They know of his relationship with a Chinese spy, but they don’t care. He is working very hard to hide FBI information about that relationship, and the media and other Democrats have not demanded transparency.

My guess is that Swalwell’s treatment of young, drunk women has been known for years, but the media didn’t care as long as he was a Democrat.

They all knew that Ted Kennedy left a woman to die, had “waitress sandwiches,” but they didn’t care. They acted as if he really cared about the treatment of women.

They never cared about all the women Bill and Hillary physically and mentally abused and sought to destroy. Those women were disposable.

They didn’t care about Bill and Hillary collecting kickbacks and committing other crimes.

They didn’t care about Biden collecting kickbacks and being incompetent until that final debate, and then they pretended they hadn’t known. They intentionally lied about the laptop. They have known for years that Kamala has no significant accomplishments, but they don’t care. They pretended that Biden and Kamala were moderates.

They knew about Weinstein but didn’t care as long as he was donating to Democrats. They cared only when they could no longer bury the truth.

They buried the story of Epstein until they thought they could destroy Trump with the information.

They have known about the corruption in Minnesota for years, but buried it while supporting Tim Walz.

They have known about fraud in California for years, but don’t care.

They know that Wes Moore’s life story has been fictional, but don’t care.

They pretend that Spanberger, Mikie Sherrill, and other Democrat governors are moderates.

This current Swalwell story will be buried. Meanwhile, instead of reporting the news and the truth, Billy Bush says seventy-five people at ABC were tasked with destroying Trump. My guess is that this is also happening at other media outlets.

The only thing most of the media and many Democrats care about is winning elections and power. The Founding Fathers would be turning over in their graves if they knew the media would use their First Amendment power to protect corrupt politicians while targeting their ideological opponents because they dislike their policies.

The real problem is that too many Americans in our bipolar society want their Heavenly utopia on Earth and refuse to take off their rose color glasses to see all the upper echelon corruption, and too many others prefer to be useful idiots as long as they get theirs.

Clowns to the Left of me, jokers to the Right, here I am.

Those who desperately crave power for its own sake should never be allowed anywhere near it.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
