ICE Officers Hospitalized Following Crash Caused by Fleeing Illegal in Sanctuary Maryland – DHS
Two federal immigration officers reportedly suffered serious injuries caused by a dangerous illegal alien who caused a multi-vehicle crash while trying to evade arrest in the sanctuary state of Maryland last week.
The harrowing bust unfolded just before 8 a.m. on Apr. 1 in Baltimore.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers attempted to pull over a Honduran illegal alien identified as Ever Omar Alvarenga-Rios, but he rammed his work van into a federal vehicle and sped away, triggering a high-speed pursuit.
“The illegal alien slammed on his brakes, causing a multi-car pileup. Alvarenga then attempted to flee on foot and continued to disobey law enforcement commands,” the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) explained in a press release.
Alvarenga-Rios remained at large for a short period of time before being taken into custody, according to the Medway Police Department.
