A friend got his PSA back about a year ago: 800.
Not good. Metastatic prostate cancer, and it had spread. He'd lost about 50 lbs. and wasn't looking good.
After one dose of chemo left him out on his floor for a couple days, discovered by another friend, and hospitalized until he was rehydrated and back on his feet, He said NO to more chemo.
As a bit of a 'Hail Mary' (because it was experimental, even though there were numerous accounts on the web of efficacy), his doctor gave in and prescribed Ivermectin, 24 mg/day.
Last I heard, his PSA was at 40, he had gained back 30 lbs of body weight, and was feeling good. It has been over a year since his diagnosis.
So much modern medicine is wrapped up in treating symptoms or "managing" the disease, the idea of a cure seems forgotten.
