Excerpt:
ICE officers in California were forced to open fire on a wanted El Salvador national and 18th Street Gang member who tried to run them over with his vehicle during a targeted arrest operation.
The incident occurred in Patterson when agents approached the vehicle of Carlos Ivan Mendoza Hernandez. According to ICE Director Todd Lyons, the suspect “weaponized his vehicle in an attempt to run an officer over.” Following their training, the officers fired defensive shots to protect themselves, their fellow agents, and the public. The suspect was taken to a local hospital, and the FBI is now on the scene.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
