Forgive us if we are confused with the polls

I think this Harris poll is closer to the truth on Iran than all the doom and gloom we keep hearing about.

Silvio Canto, Jr. | April 1, 2026

As my late father used to say, we have more polls than gas stations.  He made that remark when we were watching a baseball game and reacting to the latest poll in the news.

Please forgive us if we can;t keep with all of those polls.  They are confusing, to say the least.  Check out the last one from Harris via Nick Arama:

The most recent Harvard-Harris poll had some intriguing elements, and you have to think the Democrats aren't going to like them.

We’ve seen constant doom posting from them and from the liberal media about Operation Epic Fury. If you believed what they’re spewing out, you would think that we were losing badly and President Donald Trump had given up, when the reality is that we’ve been having unparalleled military success. Yes, there’s more than just military success involved, but they’re largely ignoring that. Indeed, if Iran is influenced by what they say, they may be quite deluded and make bad decisions.

But according to Harvard-Harris, the American people have not been taken in by the narrative.

We mean the “narrative” of doom and gloom, i.e. that we are losing headlines in the channels that fewer people watch, or the front pages that fewer people read.

In this Harris poll, 76% believe that the U.S. is winning.  Even Democrats think that we are winning.  51% overall support air strikes.

So what’s going on?  My guess is that American voters understand the objectives of the war better than most of the Trump-haters, or the people who just oppose everything he does.
